Appearance: Hazy, golden orange - pours with a foamy, off-white head, fades to some spotty lacing
Smell: Hello, citrus - tons of grapefruit and orange rind - very floral, lightly fleshy - some oily citrus - some pale malts underneath serve as a base - lightly sweet
Taste: Nicely hoppy and tropical - loads of orange and grapefruit - citrus rind with some flesh - touch of lemon and citrus rind - some pale and lightly toasted malts - ultimately, kind of tastes like a pink grapefruit sprinkled with sugar, complete with some grapefruit flesh and some grapefruit seeds
Mouthfeel: Medium body, nicely carbonated, smooth
Overall: Would you like some beer with your grapefruit?
This is nicely hoppy, and the sheer quantity of grapefruit in this is nothing short of astounding. Honestly, this reminds me of eating a grapefruit with a spoon (with some sugar sprinkled on top). I'll have to have this again sometime, perhaps when it is in a can...
