Poured into a 16 oz shaker pint glass from a 22 oz bomber that I picked up at Beer Revolution. Bottle date code SCU60.
Moderately vigorous pour provided a thick, two finger head that dissipated slightly after a few minutes, leaving behind lots of lacing. Very nice clear golden color that glows in the glass; attractive beer!
Grassy, pine needles, lemon zest, some faint caramel sweetness and slightly funky. The aromas aren't blowing me away, but it smells good. Clean and hoppy.
This tastes great! Not an overpowering IPA, it represents what an IPA should be. Subtle caramel maltiness lays down nicely in the background with hop notes of sharp citrus, smooth mango, and a bitter pine resin finish that lingers. Numm Numm Numm.
Mediium to light bodied. Carbonation was decent, but I would prefer a bit more...just a preference.
Overall, I enjoyed this beer very much. I've been wanting to try it for a while and it didn't disappoint. I could easily drink a few of these.
