Pours a nice bright gold with a small white head. Really looks good.
Smells of a west coast style IPA. Citrus/Grapefruit/Pine all hit your nose with a gusto. A little grassy too.
Piney hop burst up front. Then the malts become slightly detectable while finishing with a lingering dry bitterness.
Mouthfeel is fairly light with good carbonation levels.
Sculpin has a reputation as one of the best West Coast IPA's and doesn't disappoint. The only knock is I would've liked a little bit more grapefruitiness to balance out the piney resin, but a small nitpick at that as this beer is still good, just not elite.
