Huge thanks to Dan3279 for yet another awesome trade.

Poured from a 22 oz. capped bottle (no date) into a pint glass.

A strong pour yields a slow-rising 1/2-finger off-white head that quickly disappears to a tiny island and thin ring of foam. The body is a slightly hazy orange amber with traces of yellow amber at the edges. A decent amount of small, slow-rising carbonation bubbles are also visible. Almost no lacing can be seen at any point during consumption.

The nose is packed full of tropical citrus aromas. Notes of apricot, mango, mandarin orange, and pineapple are all apparent. A bit of grass and pine are also noticeable. As is typical with many other West Coast IPAs, this beer's nose is very unbalanced with very little malt aromas coming through.

Piny and grassy at first, each sip quickly transitions to strong citrus hops flavors of nectarines, grapefruit, apricot, mango, and cantaloupe. As the beer is swallowed, a pine flavor quickly comes forward along with more citrus hops flavors that quickly dominate the pine. As these flavors slowly fade out, the nectarine flavor sticks around and is soon met by a slight piny bitterness that lingers between sips as an aftertaste.

Light to medium bodied with excellent carbonation, this beer is like a non-syrupy fruit nectar. The body is truly thirst-quenching. It glides over the tongue easily while being just heavy enough to properly carry and deliver a tremendous amount of flavor. The carbonation is only slightly fizzy, making it difficult to notice. This is certainly a good thing as the lack of fizz causes no distractions. The carbonation is, however, just strong enough to properly match the body and create great drinkability.

Bottle marked SC 421 14022 at 45 degrees into a standard pint glass
Aroma of red pine
Head average (3 cm), off white, creamy with rocks, slowly diminishing to uneven ring
Lacing good – uneven rings with many gaps, tiny bubbles
Body medium yellow, clear
Flavor begins with a distinct pine terpene taste with no alcohol, malt, or diacetyl noted. It ends with a chalky astringency. No alcohol after burn is noted.
Palate is light to medium, watery, lively carbonation

A very attractive beer to both the nose and eye. The taste is not very complex, being basically piney. Overall, an easy drinking IPA.

Serving type: bottle, poured into pub glass. In South Korea of all places. I was skeptical at first thinking this might be a knock-off but as I have had the real deal recently I figured this would be a good one to have. I was not disappointed.
A- Pours a nice golden/orange color with a delicate white head that dissipates into nice lacing.

S- very floral and strong sweet scents of apricots and peaches

T- awesome. Might be a little off as I have not had a good IPA in about a month. Balanced sweetness and bitterness, great hop flavor on top of the bitterness. Aroma still knocking it out of the park.

M- Nice carbonation, not too thin. Drinks wonderfully.

O- I loved this beer when I had it in the states and literally blew my socks off when I found it over here. Just one had a smile on my face all night. This is a great beer.
