From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped SC443-14055. Sampled on March 23, 2014.
The color is a highly attractive bronze, golden amber with a modest white head that becomes a ring.
The aroma has a full hop nose countering and also balancing off the toasted biscuit malt character.
The body is medium and smooth.
The taste has this quick caramel barley malt note but it is quickly superseded by the full bitter hop quality of an IPA. An evolution as it were. But the bitterness lingers on at the end. I can see why this one gets high marks.
