Pours a clear orange hue with a one finger head with decent retention and sticky lacing.

On the nose is strong fresh citrus. Apricot, tangerine, and also some apple. So nice and fresh. Some earthy and citrus hops.

At first sip I pick up exactly what I smell. Fresh apricot and apple. Really nice. Fresh earthy notes from the hops towards the middle. And after I swallow some heavy pine resin. One of the best IPAs I've ever had.

Mouthfeel is perfectly carbonated. Sticky resin from the hops. Perfect.

Such a great beer. I'm just now really getting into IPAs and this is the best one I've had so far. Would definitely buy again and seems very session-able.

Appearance - Pours 2 fingers of golden eggshell foam, pours a very slightly cloudy light golden yellow orange. Lots of small bubbles in the body, good looking ipa. I keep a solid finger of foam to the end of the glass, with a ring of foam after each quaff - perfect.

Smell - Citrus, semi-sweet grapefruit, tropical fruits, light carmel - smells delicious.

Taste - Much like the nose, semi sweet citrus, alot of light tropical flavors, these quickly give way to semi-sweet grapefruit, finishing with citrus pith and a touch of pine. After a few sips I also pick up some nice floral flavors towards the end of each quaff. There is a slight sweet backbone throughout. Really complex, and perfectly balanced.

Mouthfeel - This is a solid medium mouthfeel, not mouth-coating, the medium feel comes from an abundance of complex flavors that fill the mouth. Carb is lower side of medium, not quite cleansing the palate, but very smooth, with a few crisp edges at the sides of the tongue. Extremely drinkable, refreshing and satisfying.

Overall - Definitely one of the top ipa's I've ever tried - very forward on citrus, tropical, and slight floral with just enough sweetness to balance. If you like these hop flavors like I do, then you will love this ipa. A must try.

6 packs on the east coast, SWEET! 3-4 weeks old. Cash money.

A: A clear near copper, slightly paler. A big white head, left some decent webbing.

S: Some pine, with lots of super sweet tropical fruits. Papaya, mango, kiwi, and pineapple. Pungent. Very bright smelling. I get Citra and Centenial without looking at malt bill, maybe simcoe. Maybe something else Im not familiar with, amarillo perhaps.

T: Delish. Some pineapple, grapefruit, peaches, oranges, and a bit of lemon herbal notes. A tropical hop bomb. Bitterness is there, but excessive dry hopping helps meld it out. The only reason I know this has malts is that its alcoholic. Similar to flower power.

M: Medium carbonation. Medium to light body. Definitely got some oil slickness.

O: A must for hop lovers, a super bright IPA. Similar to union jack, flower power, lunch ect. Upper echelon IPA for sure. A bit overpriced but worth purchasing once for sure. Getting this fresh is as good as anything out there.

Poured into a pint glass from a bottle.

A - pours a medium straw, appearing gold in the glass. Thin white head with medium lace. I can already smell the hops!

S - strong citrusy hop aroma explodes from this one!

T - of course the hops dominate the flavor. Grapefruit citrusy hops coat the palate, although not overpowering, with the caramel malt body still noticeable. Hops are strong but not harsh. Hops linger on the palate long after the finish.

M - medium bodied with good carbonation. Very clean for an IPA in my opinion.

O - this does not disappoint. I wanted tons of hops and that's what I got! This is what an IPA should be!

The three finger head is white; it sinks slowly leaving lots of lacing. The clear liquid is golden coloured.

The smell is earthy-hoppy. Honey. Citric marmalade. It is rather sweet.

The taste is hoppy and quite fresh. Clean bitterness. It feels a bit empty. Citric fruits and citric marmalade. Earthy notes in the background. Passing clean sweetness. Some cat litter box hops. Full body. The aftertaste is light and smooth. Some citric notes; it is a bit harsh. The finish feels, again, empty.

Medium strong carbonation; the bubbles are short lived. The liquid is harsh.

The hoppy flavours are different from the AIPAs that are brewed in Sweden. Bit it is not very much better.

Wow! Although I later learned this beer is famous, it was a surprise for me, and therefore wins its high rating on its own merits. Probably the best taste in a bottle I have ever had. Phenomenal take off, plenty of hops and complex flavors with the most delicate and enjoyable finish. Nicely done, boys! Sets the standard for IPAs.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass

Appearance- The beer pours an orange-amber color with a one finger foamy white head. The head fades over a moderate level of time leaving a very persistent foam on the top of the brew as well as some foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is rather sweet with lots of tropical fruits of mango, pineapple, and tangerine, accompanied by some caramel sweetness as well. With these aromas is a lighter hop aroma of grapefruit and a little bit of pine.

Taste – The taste begins with a lighter sweet flavor of tangerine and tropical fruits mixed with a cracker and biscuit flavor. The biscuit and cracker create a base for the brew, lasting throughout the entire taste. The tangerine and tropical sweetness fades however, leaving a much drier taste at the end. Initially the taste is smoother with only a little hop bitterness of a more grassy and grapefruit nature. As the taste moves on, and the sweetness fades, the hop gets more bitter as other hop flavors of a pine nature joining in. The grassy and pine flavors take on the bulk of the hop flavor as they increase to the end, leaving a rather bitter and dry flavor on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. The mouthfeel is rather nice for the crisper and drier flavors of the brew all while keeping the hop flavors well supported.

Overall –Starts out sweeter and finishes a bit drier and more bitter. A rather tasty IPA.
