12 oz bottle poured into pint glass
A: One of the best looking IPA's I have ever seen. Orange, straw with a slight golden hint. Lots of visible carbonation. Tons of lacing.
S: Hops, hops, hops. Grapefruit, citrus and a slight bit of pineapple.
T: Amazing just like the smell. Grapefruit, citrus, a bit of dank pine, slight grassy earthy notes and a phenomenal pineapple finish (zythos hops?).
M: Medium bodied, perfect level of carbonation for an AIPA.
O: One of the top 5 AIPA's I've ever tried. Just phenomenal. It's hard to get Ballast Point here in NY for a reasonable price (usually $15-$16 a 6 without liquor tax), but when I get the chance it is quite the treat. Every beer I've ever had from them is in the upper tiers of craft brew. Must try.

a clean golden pour with 2 fingers of head which dissipated very slowly and left behind possibly the most lacing i've seen in any beer. aromas of pine and grapefruit, caramel, very hop forward. the flavor is again very hop forward mostly of grapefruit, citrusy sweetness with a lingering piney bitterness.. a nice caramel bready malt kicks in mid-palate. medium in body with moderate carbonation, creamy feel for an ipa.
this is a very nice ipa, and it's nice to finally try it in a can.. i've had this on tap and in growler before, but never got a chance to review it.. it's just as good, if not better than i remember.
