poured from a 12 oz to a pint glass

A- pours a light golden amber, with a thick tight white bubbled head and a ridiculous amount of lacing

S- grapefruit right up front! solid grapefruit, oranges, pine, pineapple just intense citrusy hops all around, a slight bit of sweet tobacco malt in there, but just dominated by some extremely well balanced hop arrangements

T- same thing on the tongue, just a massive assult of citrus hops. mango, blood oranges, lemon peel, grapefruit.

M- Medium in body, palate cleanser all around.

O- Just unfair to other IPAs and even DIPAs that this beer exists, not alot of balance, not alot of complexity, but just a killer hop monster that is arranged perfectly for any hophead to enjoy.

A- Clear deep gold with a thin white cap that coated the glass all the way down.

S- Lots of hops. Pine and grapefruit. A bit one note, not much in the way of malt here.

T- Bitter at the start, dry and balanced finish. Hops dominate. Pine and citrus.

M- Smooth, medium body.

O- A very clean and dry IPA with a heavy load of hops.

Thick, ~4 finger fluffy flat white head from a solid can pour. Very good retention. Brew is a light gold/amber, clear, transparent. Leaves behind thick lacing like a nightmare spiderweb.

Classic citrus IPA hop aroma: ruby red grapefruit, light caramel malts with a hint of biscuit, slight honey or flowers. Slightly delicate, not overpowering, not overly complex.

Flavor follows the nose, albeit with a fairly noticeable bittering hop component. Tropical fruit and juicy grapefruit up front, an earthy hop bitterness, and citrus peel finish. All along, it floats on a noticeable but balanced caramel malt backbone.

Very little carbonation sting, but I don't get any syrupy feel to it; it's a fairly light, easy drinking IPA. Nice lingering feel, slightly sweet but almost resiny bitter aftertaste. Great balance with the malts and a huge hoppy bitterness.

Finally, I get to see what all the hoopla surrounding this beer is all about, and I can say, it's deserved. This is an excellent single IPA. It reminds me of a slightly flatter or earthier Jai Alai or Flower Power, and could easily be a daily drinking IPA.

Tried in the bottle and it was super. Then tried it on tap at the LA vegan beer fest last spring.
Great beer either way. I like hops in beer, but this one is way above most others in taste
and mouth feel. Good alcohol content so you can drink more than a couple in an evening.
On the East coast it is often difficult to get but worth the effort.
