Appearance is hazy apricot golden.
Smell is apricot with other hoppy fruit aromas.
Taste is that apricot.. whoah but then here are those hops!!!
Mouthfeel is ample carbonation but in an extremely refreshing way.
The hops are flavorfuly living in my mouth after each sip. Crisp! Eventually a peppery resin is detected yet the constant apricot hitting my nose upon each sip is superb.
Bitter is good here!! About par with Green Flash for me.
Overall a confirmation of my preference for West Coast IPA's and DIPA's (aside from a lone alchemist lurking in the northeast).

Picked up a bomber of this from my local liquor store. Overall impression is that it's a nice crisp IPA on the dryer side (without too much caramel sweetness) and an extreme amount of hop flavor and aroma: citrus and pine.

Appearance: A hazy, light copper beer with a good white head. Head dissipated to a thin lacing.

Smell: Smells very resinous with some citrus backing it up.

Taste: A light malty sweetness up front: not much in the way of caramel. Tropical fruit (mango?) and grapefruit as well. Finishes very piney with a lingering bitterness. The malt gets out of the way quickly on this one to showcase the hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: A creamy mouthfeel due to the residual head on the beer. Medium-light in body.

Overall: It's definitely very light on any caramel flavors and sticks to a light malt character to back up the hops. It's balanced towards being easy drinking and has a nice long-lasting foam on top of the beer to give it a silky mouthfeel. One of my top IPAs.

Doc review today. $MM-level deal and I’m pretty sure no one will read the summary or care about the risks until it goes south, when all of the sudden the group unit leaders will wonder out loud, “How the fuck did this get past legal?” Let me tell you now how: I told you it was poo-poo, and you went ahead and did it anyway because “we need the volume.” That’s how it got past legal. I was overruled.

I’m 100 percent certain more people will read this free post about a $7 beer than GULs will dare actually read about the seven-figure risk we just assumed.

STYLE: American IPA

ABV: 7%

LOOK: The fizz rises quickly, leaving a thin but firm cantaloupe jello. Can’t get a head to last more than a few seconds, first because I’m drinking it (more on that later) and almost just as importantly because it won’t hold.

NOSE: Apricot, mangoes, buttered popcorn. A pleasant hybrid of Magic Hat #9 and 21st Amendment Brew Free or Die IPA. The fruit, it’s more real, less processed. The butter, it’s nicer, more subtle.

MOUTH: Straight to pine. Maybe some clean pebbles too? The weight is nice, but there’s really only one thing to remember: Make sure you get a good head because it absolutely changes the beer for the better — a real mellower. Soft foam and strong bite, it’s like hoppy espresso. Quite good if you can get it, rather meh if you can’t.

Arrives a rich amber color with a thin filmy head of light tan.
Smell is of course hoppy, resinous and evergreen with a light, almost faint, malt note.
Taste is hops, evergreen like sucking on a fir tree, light malt and nothing else.
For an IPA, its pretty smooth and lightly effervesced. Drying even before the swallow. Slightly warming afterwards.
Not as good as I was thinking it would be but not the uber-bitter hop beast that so many others are.
