On draft at Hamilton's

Appearance is a translucent light orange hue, moderate white foam dissipates mostly, huge lacing on the glass

Smell is clean and crisp biscuit malts, moderate grassy hops, some cotton candy sweetness

Taste is initially pale bread/biscuit malts soon followed by grassy and earthy bittering hops, hints of tea leaves, citrus, and pine, lager yeast, finishes thick and malts with slight alcohol burn

Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, watery texture with oily resin residual, amped-up carbonation is detracting from the flavor

Drinkability is high, nice balance of malts and hops in a lager framework, carbonation is overly high, but this is very drinkable for a unique style

A: Pours a translucent orange with a fluffy white head.

S: Lots of orange and mango, as well as peach and tangerine in the nose.

T: Tons of pine, nectary tangerine and mango.

M: Medium bodied and a bit flat.

O: I guess I prefer IPAs. If this were top fermented, I think it would have been an A- or an A. Overall, though, it was decent. I can kind of see why the style is growing in popularity, but Im not into it just yet.

A: golden pils like color but a little murky, beautiful head from a gentle pour that holds nicely and lasting. Laces out,

S: balanced scent of sweet honeydew and hops, very dry and clean on the nose. Very enjoyable here

T/M: very close to the nose and that's a real good thing! Almost pilsner like on the tongue and a dry and light hop finish that gives a hint of melon fruit. The mouthfeel is lush a full. Very nice beer, enjoyable even though its not my favorite type. Enough body to satisfy, but I'll still take 2 :)

Would buy again and serve to friends

A: Golden yellow with an awesome sizable white head. Lacing as well!

S: Aroma is pilsener malts, hops definitely, and some honey.

T: Same as the nose: pilsener malts, big strong hardy hops, honey bread, clove, and some orange peel. The after taste is amazingly refreshing!

M: Light to medium. It's got an almost perfect mouth feel. This is my second IPL as well as the best one I've ever had.

O: Was expecting something boring, but this is an excellent beer and I will be buying it again.

A - Clear golden in a pint glass.

S - Hop aromas are present. The smell is not strong or overpowering. It's really like an IPA light.

T - Again the IPA light theme is what I'm going with. The flavor of the beer is hop forward with citrus and floral notes, but the finish is very clean and refreshing with little to no bitter.

M - Very light and refreshing. Drinks very easy and the alcohol presence is not there. Perfect for a hot day.

O - While I personally love hops I hate overly bitter beers. This gives me the best of both worlds. It's a hoppy beer for sure and I really enjoy it. The cost point is outstanding at $4.99 a bomber. It's not the easiest beer to find. I've had it both on tap and in the bottle and have never been disappointed.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head.

Aroma is of sweet malts and aromatic hops.

Taste is clean with a big aromatic hoppy beginning that finishes with some malty sweetness and little bitterness.

Mouthfeel is full and sticky with malt. Carb is good.

This is a my second "IPL" and this has changed my view of what the style can be. Great offering by Ballast Point.
