A: pours black with a finger of dense tan head that fades to a small pool
S: smells of chocolate, coffee, roast malt and a bit of hop bitterness
T: takes awhile to build but tastes of chocolate, some coffee, roastyness, a little burnt sugar, carob, and some slight pine hop flavor. swallow brings an oily hop finish and some residual chocolate and roast flavor that lingers. currant flavor starts to come out as the beer warms.
M: medium body that has a slight wateriness to it with moderate carbonation. kind of thin for the style but still drinkable and not offputting. pretty smooth and slightly creamy
O: good complexity and flavor, mouthfeel could use a bit of work but a very solid beer.
