22oz bottle from Bruisin Ales (Asheville, NC). 10.00. Best by 12/7/12. Served in a Sweewater snifter.
Pours dark murky brown with a finger and a half of light tan head. Substantial sheets of lacing.
Smells of cocoa, roasty malts, earth, sugar faint smoke.
Taste is an awesome dose of roast malt, cocoa, coffee, smoke, bitter dark fruit skins, sugar and a nice booze kick. Nothing out of balance and it goes down mighty easy for a 10% brew.
Medium full feel with moderate carbonation. Smooth, creamy feel. Long sweet malty aftertaste.
One of the better straight up imperial stouts that I've tried. Creamy, roasty and easy to drink. I'll definately buy/drink this again if the opportunity arises.
