Big Eye IPA pours a crystal clear bronze color with a small, frothy off white head. The foam fades quickly leaving behind spots and lines of lace on the glass.
The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Notes of caramel malt, bready yeast and grapefruit citrus and pine are all present.
Each sip of this medium bodied beer is oily with a firm carbonated fizz. The flavor is more malty than I expected. Caramel and pale malt are followed by orange and pine citrus hops. Fairly well balanced, but the malt is more pronounced. It finishes bitter with a lingering orange citrus flavor when gone.
An easy drinking IPA that's somewhat sweet for the style. Could use a touch more more bitterness and hop flavor.

A: Pours a clear medium copperish amber in color with very light amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and some brassy highlights. The beer has a two to three finger tall dense foamy (almost pillowy) light beige head very slowly reduces to a finger thick cap covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a very thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of hops - specifically pine and citrus/orange.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of slightly sweet grainy and caramel malts which has a light overall amount of sweetness. That is followed by more than moderate amounts of pine and citrus/orange hops which contribute a slightly stronger than moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with slightly less than moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness towards the finish.
O: Enjoyable and a nice example of the style though with a touch too much lingering bitterness for this one to be an easy drinker in my opinion. Definitely worth grabbing if you come across but perhaps not one that I would actively go out of my way to find.
