Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium golden-orange hue with a light touch of haze and a moderately strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam with a little bit of orange to it. Pretty good!
Smell: nicely balanced hop-forward aroma with an earthy, citrusy and a little bit piney character. Quite good.
Taste: dry malty base with a bit of a bready character does a good job supporting the earthy, piney hops. This is a pretty dry experience overall, and I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a good level of creaminess for an IPA. I like it.
Overall: this is a nice, dry, earthy IPA. There is definitely a bit of West Coast citrus bomb in its DNA, but it has evolved into a drinkable and balanced (for an IPA) brew.

A: Pours a clear medium copperish amber in color with very light amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and some brassy highlights. The beer has a two to three finger tall dense foamy (almost pillowy) light beige head very slowly reduces to a finger thick cap covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a very thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of hops - specifically pine and citrus/orange.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of slightly sweet grainy and caramel malts which has a light overall amount of sweetness. That is followed by more than moderate amounts of pine and citrus/orange hops which contribute a slightly stronger than moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with slightly less than moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness towards the finish.
O: Enjoyable and a nice example of the style though with a touch too much lingering bitterness for this one to be an easy drinker in my opinion. Definitely worth grabbing if you come across but perhaps not one that I would actively go out of my way to find.
