Pours a clear golden color with a nice off-white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma has some citrusy and grassy hops upfront with a piney background, along with some caramel and orange marmalade, fruity esters, biscuit and some alcohol. The flavor also has bright piney and citrusy hop notes with some grassy flavors as well, along with biscuit and caramel, fruity esters, a chalkiness and some alcohol. The mouthfeel is on the thick side and drinkable is decent. A very tasty IPA, not super complex or drinkable but hits all the right notes.

A: Pours a clear medium copperish amber in color with very light amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and some brassy highlights. The beer has a two to three finger tall dense foamy (almost pillowy) light beige head very slowly reduces to a finger thick cap covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a very thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of hops - specifically pine and citrus/orange.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of slightly sweet grainy and caramel malts which has a light overall amount of sweetness. That is followed by more than moderate amounts of pine and citrus/orange hops which contribute a slightly stronger than moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with slightly less than moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness towards the finish.
O: Enjoyable and a nice example of the style though with a touch too much lingering bitterness for this one to be an easy drinker in my opinion. Definitely worth grabbing if you come across but perhaps not one that I would actively go out of my way to find.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter at around 45°F
Appearance: Pours an amber copper color with a one finger frothy off white head.
Smell: Earthy pine hops, oranges; Bold aromas
Taste: Resiny pine hops with some tropical notes in the back end
Mouthfeel: Full bodied for an IPA; Moderate to heavy bitterness that lingers on the palate.
Overall: As others have mentioned, this reminds me of Torpedo, but even more on the bold, resiny pine, floral side. This may not be as highly respected as Sculpin, but it's a great AIPA in its own right, focusing on different aspects. I will be picking this up the next time I see it. Recommended
