Premium malted barley, Galaxy hops, and British Ale yeast are the base of this hibiscus, cherry, honey, and lime beer. A crystal-clear deep pink hue invites you in while the complex fruity aroma comes from all of the ingredients combined, not just the cherries. Hibiscus adds some bitterness and color, while the lime adds some acidity.

On tap at Sticks and Stones last night.Poured into a goblet a clear reddish pink with a thinner head, the hibiscus stands out alot in the nose along with some stone fruit, and mild funk, seemed dryer than what I was expecting.Dryer on the palate with a hint of tartness from the cherries, has a bit of iron and mild funkiness that I picked up in the finish. Not bad but not something I could drink all night, the alcohol was pretty well hidden,my wife enjoyed a few.

Great Beer. Very similar to a Lambic. Poured with a nice pinkish head. The taste was great. I am a big fan of Hibiscus and it really came through in the taste and color. I am not too familiar with "Fruit Ales" but after this one, I am thirsty for more. Too bad it's not released in bottles or more more available. So, go out and support breast cancer awareness and get your boob checked.

Review # 1700

On tap at Home Brew Mart. Beer made with cherries, hibiscus petals, and lime. Made for Beer for Boobs.

A: Transparent reddish pink with an inch of dense pink sea foam. Retention is outstanding and there is much lacing on the glass. The color is stunning, and apparently it's derived from the hibiscus petals and the cherries.

S: Pronounced cherry with a moderate sweetness and an underlying grainy malt presence. Lime is light and hibiscus is evident.

T: Sweet and delicious cherry flesh and skin with light lime notes. Malt is grainy. The finish is bursting with cherries and there's a dash of hibiscus.

M: Lower medium body with high carbonation.

Overall: A delicious fruit beer. Not overly sweet but wonderfully fruity.

On tap at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear reddish-orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt and fruity aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly tart fruity flavors on the finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the aroma is pretty subdued.

On draft at Ballast point in Little Italy.

I had to get a pour of this one. I had just returned from the Clinica Nutricion y Vida earlier that day, where my wife had been treated for breast cancer. Alas...

The beer is reddish orange with a think, pinkish head. The aroma brings grain, funk, alcohol, cherries. The flavor is a bit messy. Some floral and lime notes are there in addition to the fruit. Grainy and muddled. This had the potential to be a very tasty offering, but fell short of the mark.
