On tap at the Village Tavern in Geneseo, NY.
This one pours a very dark brown, almost black with a half inch head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like burnt and roasted malt, with some pine and chocolate.
This has a very burnt and bitter taste, with a bit of smoke and pine. It's a fairly intense flavor, and I'm not entirely sure a hoppy schwarzbier was needed.
This is creamy and fairly thick, with a moderate level of carbonation.
Didn't love this one, I wish the malt flavor could have come a bit more to the forefront.

On-tap 7/5/2015 at Pour Farm in New Bedford, MA served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short dense beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains lager yeast, coffee, roasted malts and a good amount of hops.
T: The taste starts out with some breadiness from a hearty roasted malt character and lager yeast. Then some flavors of coffee and dark fruit come in. The hops presence is strong for the style and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, decent kick, very good representation of style, this is a good beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Foamy beige head. Chunky rings of lace after each sip. Mahongany brown where some light does pass.
Great combination of subtle aromas. I smell mostly pale malt despite the color. Good hop presence and light alcohol round out the smell.
The flavor is much darker with some black patent barley showing up. It dominates the swallow and aftertaste. There's a bit ash in the aftertaste as well. Moderate body. High carbonation.
