I used to live in Scripps Ranch, and this place fits in well there. Nice atmosphere, many locals. The quality of the beer is grade A, but unless I wasn't paying attention last month, is limited to only Ballast Point beers. The service is typical tasting room/bar service. Not good nor bad. I didn't try the food, but every time I have visited, there has been either a food truck or a food tent set up. I am sure the food is fantastic, especially after you drink a couple Grapefruit Sculpin. The value is on par with all of the other amazing tasting rooms in and around town.

Overall, this is a great place to visit and drink outstanding beer.

Atmosphere: Very clean and inviting. There were large amounts of people having fun and enjoying themselves, but it didn't feel overly crowded. You could still easily get to the bar to get your beer. The brewery end was very clearly an active brewery, but still a very nice inviting atmosphere.

Quality: Beer, tours, and souvenirs are high quality

Service: Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff, always felt welcome

Selection: They have a very large number of taps

Value: Reasonably priced on pretty much everything. Actually purchased souvenirs due to the fact that you weren't getting gouged on them. All beer is reasonably priced as well

Overall: This is a must visit brewery in San Diego.
