Checked out their website and their beer lineup looked quite interesting with a few harder to finds so wife and I decided to take a drive.

Atmosphere: Place was very crowded for a Thursday night, but we found 2 seats and cozied up to the bar. A decent looking place and there happened to be some pretty good live music.

Service/Selection: Wife and I sat down, we were asked what we wanted... I asked to see a beer list... Bar: "we're out" / huh? you're out of beer lists? Bar: "yes" / you don't have any list of the beers you have? Bar: "No, but we have 38 beers on tap" / ok, so am I supposed to know what you have or any of the prices? / Bar: (shrugs her shoulders) "it's in the computer" / Thanks. (Fail)

Service/Selection: They have 38 tap handles (with more than a few being different than what they really were) - and I wouldn't say they have 38 beers on draft because when I tried to build a flight; 5 out of the 6 items I asked for were kicked. Not cool.

Quality: I sampled a couple of different beers after my failure and both pours smelled like nice warm bleached glass (why am I still here?). I ended up having a Berkshire Coffeehouse Porter and a Dogfish 90 Minute = Both Good (yeah for me)

Despite being out of practically everything I asked for they still have one of the larger draft selections in the area and the vibe of the place was decent. If they were on top of things or had any sort of organization or service, things would have been a lot better - but it just didn't seem worth the aggravation or the ride.

Although the beers are pricey here and the list has shrunk over the last two years, Rose Alley is still the perfect place for good beer and even better food. The list still features more than 20 beers, and you'll always find something worth trying--and trying again. Wings are tremendous and the salads (steak and bleu, cobb, etc.)--believe it or not--are excellent. Beautiful view of the waterfront with large windows in period, old stone building. In the summer, the AC pumps and beer is just as cold.

Place located right on the waterfront in New Bedford MA. Lots of drafts on line. I counted about twenty-plus. Mostly craft brews from the area with a few from out west. Got a great divide I hadn't had before. Had a few other nice IPAs on tap. Place is child friendly I would say in spite of the sports bar and nautical motif. Drafts were cheap. Around three bucks. Ten bucks gets you a massive burger. Good deal. Service was slow for even a slow day. Parking looks like the pay lot is your only choice.
