Place located right on the waterfront in New Bedford MA. Lots of drafts on line. I counted about twenty-plus. Mostly craft brews from the area with a few from out west. Got a great divide I hadn't had before. Had a few other nice IPAs on tap. Place is child friendly I would say in spite of the sports bar and nautical motif. Drafts were cheap. Around three bucks. Ten bucks gets you a massive burger. Good deal. Service was slow for even a slow day. Parking looks like the pay lot is your only choice.

Although the beers are pricey here and the list has shrunk over the last two years, Rose Alley is still the perfect place for good beer and even better food. The list still features more than 20 beers, and you'll always find something worth trying--and trying again. Wings are tremendous and the salads (steak and bleu, cobb, etc.)--believe it or not--are excellent. Beautiful view of the waterfront with large windows in period, old stone building. In the summer, the AC pumps and beer is just as cold.

I know that I seem like "That Guy" by giving this place all 5.0s but it is absolutely how I feel about this place. I originally came for the beer selection and now I come back frequently for the Beer AND Wings (Butter Garlic...do it). Though a tap here and there can be kicked, it happens...because its a bar. For the most part I have always been able to find an amazing new beer every time I go.
The best part of Rose Alley is the complete lack of pretentious attitudes. From the staff to the patrons this place exudes friendliness; one person can be enjoying a Coors Light Bottle next to another enjoying a Southern Tier Unearthly with no dirty looks...if you like this sort of attitude, enjoy the Pour Farm down the street.
This is hands down my favorite bar in any State and I highly suggest you try it out.

I hope the rumors of Rose Alley coming to Plymouth are true. If so, this would be an awesome addition to the area. This is another bar that is worth the drive, much like Union Ale House to the north. The outside of the building looks amazing. It almost looks as though you are going into a federal building. Stone outside, this looks like a different bar. Sadly, once in the bar has a clean wooden floor, well lit windows, and a nice bar. It is very clean, pleasant, and modern, just not the mega bar appearance I was hoping for from the outside. We went in about 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday so the atmosphere was filled with some locals, but I am sure this place is hoping at night. The service was knowledgeable and understanding. There are beer menus at every table and it looks like the selection changes fairly regularly. Gotta love that. What is on there is amazing—hard to find Allagash and Great Divide beers, Firestone Walker, Southern Tier and more. This has one of the most exciting beer lists I have seen in a while. I will admit I am in love with the food at the Pour Farm, but this is the place that I would close out my night in New Bedford. Please please Rose Alley come to Plymouth.
