I'm not normally a fan of fruit flavored beers, but I do think Wachusett did a good job with this brew. Pours a pale golden color with a pleasant, but not overwhelming aroma of blueberries. The head is minimal and dissipates fairly quickly. The taste is well balanced, the blueberry flavor doesn't overwhelm but mingles well with the maltiness of the beer. Quite refreshing on a hot summer day, and easy to down a few of these without getting tired of the blueberry flavor.

I do enjoy my wheat beers, especially during the summer months. However, there few fruit infused wheat beers that I find enjoyable.

Pours a clear pale white gold color with minimal head. What head there is forms a ring. Small amount of lacing.

Blueberry scent is apparent. Reminds me of blueberry pancakes or muffins.

Blueberry flavor is also obviously present. Still reminded off muffins, on the fence whether this is good or bad. Blueberry taste lingers a while. Feels slightly over carbonated, which interferes with the taste.

Not a bad blueberry wheat beer, but not the greatest I have tried. Smooth and good for a few on the patio.

12 oz into pint glass; served slightly chilled.

Big fuzzy white head atop sparkling clear straw-gold body.

Scent is immediately blueberries from the moment the cap is cracked. A hint of toasted wheat.

Taste is obviously blueberries. There's a warm toasty flavor as well and a sweet finish. A blueberry muffin if you will. The taste does not become cloying, medicinal or artificial. As you get further into the glass a very slight citrus hop presence makes itself known.

Mouthfeel is crisp to start but ends a bit watery. Carbonation is low to moderate.

Drinkability is good. I can certainly imagine enjoying a few of these on a warm summer day.

Not my favorite blueberry beer (I prefer Bar Harbor's version) but certainly not a bad one.

Think I'll top the rest of this with a stout and make a black and blue!

Picked up a growler of this at Skibbo's Discount Beer & Soda in the Bronx on 5/3 and waited till the last glass(4) until I penned this here review.

A: Poured a slightly hazed copper with minimal head.

S: Nose was a subtle blueberry boquet.

T: Good mix of medium hops and namesake flavor.

M: At first is thick but becomes waterery with time.

D: Quite easy on the pallet but would like to try again to see if sharper.

Pours a straw yellow color. Not much head or lacing, pretty carbonated. Smell of hops and slight sweet blueberry. Not an overpowering blueberry odor, doesn't mask the rest of the ingredients. Same with the flavor, a little blueberry flavor, but also taste of hops and malt. Not a great blueberry taste, very very mild. Needs to be a little stronger for me to enjoy this as a true blueberry ale. But very drinkible, and not bad for a hot summer day.

Had this beer on tap in a 22 oz. glass. Golden straw in color with thin white head. The smell of the beer was blueberries all the way. The taste on the other hand only had a hint of blueberry which was a little disappointing. Over all though it was a good beer and i enjoyed it.

Poured a thick foamy inch thick head that fizzed slowly and took along time to fade.Just a hint of blueberry aroma nothing overpowering.Smells very bitter and acidic with a candy overtone. The color is a hazy cloudy golden unfiltered look. The bottle says "blueberry ale with natural blueberry flavor added".I'm not really impressed with the taste. The blueberry taste seems generic and fake.A hint of hops is tasted on the finish. It tastes just like the label says A wheat ale with flavor added.A bit watery on the finish.Good carbonation with little white lacing up the glass. Not a bad beer but im not impressed.

The way it looks in a glass, it could be any of the big macro brews... light white head topping a pale golden yellow.

Where it gets different is the aroma. There's a definite blueberry overtone- but sort of a slightly artificial tone. It's not what oyu;d expect with fresh blueberries- but rather, blueberry flavouring. There's also a slight banana tone in the smell.

A bit hoppy at the start, with a spicy bottom. The top flavour is all blueberry- but again, not so much fresh blueberry as blueberry flavouring. However, it is not unpleasant.

Ths one is fizzy and crisp, very light- yet sometimes bordering on being just a touch watery.

Not a bad session beer- particularly in warmer months. I don' know I' seek it out, but I wouldn' turn it down, either.

Be well

on tap at Redbone's bestowed by the beer wheel

Very pretty pale gold with creamy, fluffy white head that leaves lovely laddering on the glass.

Overwhelming blueberry aroma, and taste? Lemme guess: blueberry, blueberry, blueberry, blueberry...I want a bowl of Froot Loops.

Somewhere buried in there is a perfectly decent pale ale, with a light toasty malt and lemony hops that support the fruitiness quite well.

Thin-bodied with crisp carbonation.

Erm. Not for me, thanks. But if you like blueberry flavor without excessive sweetness, you might like this a lot.

This was my first blueberry beer. I had it on tap at the Gate in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It poured similar to a Bud Light, thin but foamy head and yellow. Strong blueberry smell. Strong blueberry taste also. It reminded me of blueberry muffins, which is good I guess. It was light bodied and fizzy. Very easy to drink. If you like blueberries with your beer, this is for you.
