Pours clear gold color with a nice 2 finger foamy white head that was full of bubbles and faded very slowly, leaving really good foamy lacing. A lot of carbonation raced up the brew and a foamy layer stayed on top.

Smells of sweet malt, grains, buttered biscuit, light floral hops, wet cardboard and then it just seems like a basic lager. Second and third whiffs are basically sweet malt, grains and vegetables.

Tastes pretty much like it smells with sweet malt, grains, buttered biscuit, light floral hops, wet cardboard and then the lager-like basic flavor of vegetables. It's not bad tasting, but a letdown for an pale ale, even an English pale ale.

Mouthfeel is light and thin, bordering on watery, with a light body, mild carbonation and a grainy aftertaste. Overall just dull and boring.

A: Golden with a white, finger high head.

S: Aroma is evenly lightly malty and hoppy. Fairly simple but nice and fresh. Cereal malt and soft floral citrus hops.

T: Nice toasty graininess going on here. Hops are brisk and floral. Refreshing...

M: Smooth and slick. Prickly carbonation and some dryness.

O: Not bad yet not too exciting. The fresh grain and cereal malt qualities are admirable.

12oz bottle with a Best By Date of 3/15/14. Part of the Box of Brews Mix 12 Pack. Pours a translucent amber color with virtually no head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is bready and grainy with some floral hop notes. The taste is bready with some light floral bitterness and some lemon. Easy to drink with not much carbonation or body. Floral finish. Overall, a pretty run of the mill Pale Ale. Not bad but not great.

A-Cooper/ dark orange. Slighty cloudy. Small head that sicks around. Light lacing.

S- Sweet caramel malts. Slightly toasted. Maybe a faint citrus note?

T- Sweet caramel malts and grain. There is a slight citrusy flavor in the finish. A mild touch of hops there to balance the sweetness.

M- Light to medium. Finish is dry, crisp, and fairly clean. Decently carbonated, but less than a light lager. Easy drinking for the most part, but wouldn't want it on a hot day!

*This is not wowing me, but this is not horrible. It's pretty simple, but it's a lot of different flavors. Not bad, but again, nothing to write home about.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Golden/amber in color with a mild haze. Two fingers of creamy white head retain very well. Spidery lacing.

S: Bready and grainy malts. Citrusy hops. Lemon. Hint of mango.

T: Hoppy up front with lost of tropical fruit. Pineapple, clementine, and lemon. Very slight herbal backing. Modest bitterness. smooth graininess on the back end. Grainy finish with lingering hop bitterness.

M: On the lighter side of medium bodied. Very full and creamy in the mouth. Carbonation has a small bite that provides refreshing crispness. Smooth.

O: At this point in the game it falls in the middle of the pack as far as the style goes. It's easy enough to drink, but there's nothing that really makes you want to come back for more.

The Country Pale Ale pours a light copper with a touch of haze. A thin off white cap offers light retention.

Light citric hop aroma with a coarse grainy character dominates the aroma.

Taste is crisp and clean with citric notes dominant again. Offers a moderate lingering hop finish unlike their IPA's oddly, and a crackery pale malt character.

Spritzy carbonation and a light residual sweetness keeps things interesting and yielding an easy drinking ale.

A nice pale ale overall. Nothing over the top and yet nothing to detract either. Simple yet solid and my preferred brew from a mix-o-12 as for style...

Once again Wachusett has done anouther good job, this beer is very smooth for a Ale nice golden color and is very very drinkable and very smooth on the pallet I am not from the New England area but have lived here for 6 years now and have been trying all the New England beers I can and Wachusett time and time again has produced beers that have been very very good.

Pours a deep golden color with a decent white head that recedes quickly but leaves a fair amount of lace on the way down. Smells earthy and bit minerally with a fair amount of sugary malt sweetness and light floral hops beneath it. The flavor is sweet with an odd buttery tartness to it. Light toffee and butterscotch flavor with a mineral aspect to it. Little hop flavor and barely enough bitterness to keep this from cloying. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet sugary bubbly mouthfeel. I picked this up on a whim to fill my mix a six. This is quite sweet and lacks any balance, I'm glad I only have one.

It pours a golden/amber, very hazy and bright with a soft and bubbly thin layer of foam.

The smell is very mild; some light buttery tones and faint fruits. Besides a light malty sweetness and a pleasant fruitiness, there is not a whole lot going on here. It’s lacking in hop flavors and is a little too sweet for someone expecting a pale ale. I will say that it goes down easy and has a crisp and prickly carbonation.

Though it’s a little thin, Country Pale Ale has a certain je ne sais quoi to it.

Ok, about to review another beer from my state of Massachusetts. I have had the Blueberry before, but wasnt and am not too fond of blueberry beers.

A: Pours a light golden color with an amber tint. Has a 2 inch soapy white head that dissipates moderately and leaves some lacing.

S: At first I get some clove or some other type of grass hop aroma. A slight pine but not bitter at all, followed by a blend of honey, yeast, and some grains.

T: I get some of the grassy notes upfront in the flavor and then blends out with a hint of honey, yeast and an apple cider type taste.

M: Sweet and slightly tart, no carbonation to speak of but a very drinkable spring/summer feel.

O: Pretty good pale ale, not anything to rave about but nothing from Wachusett is, from what I have had. I would just keep this as a one off in a mix-A-six.

Poured from a bottle into a tumbler pint, the beer is an orange-copper coloring with a fluffy, small bubbled, off-white head. Huge amount of carbonation bubbles steadily flow from the moment you pour and all while you drink. The nose is fruity sweet, with citrus and pear characteristics, as well as a subtle hopping. Flavors are light and mild on a smooth, slightly watered down body. Roasted caramel and a muddled fruit cocktail flavor give the abundance of influence on the palate, with a touch of floral hops at the end. Floral and slightly buttery aftertaste with a filmy, slightly lingering finish.

On tap at the NE Brewfest on June 30, 2012. It pours a rich medium amber with a moderate silky head and decent clarity. The aroma is filled with sweetness, caramel, and toasted pale malts while any hops fall well into the background. The body is light to medium. The taste begins sweet and caramel-like with a low bitterness taking up the rear. I found it to be an easily drinkable and likable pale ale.

Poured from bottle into tulip. Pours a honey color, with a finger of head and some lacing. Smells of very malty buscuity sweet and a hint of fruity grape?
Flavors are not that of an APA. Its very malty, sweet, and has a very grape vine finish; almost grappa like. There is no noticeable hop at all...Its very heavy, and full mouthfeel. While its very unique brew, its just not representative of the style at all. But it does have some nice qualities, so I cant completely shoot it down...

The beer pours a slightly hazy deep orange and copper in color. There is a short head of white to off-white foam.

The aroma is fruity, citrus and ripe melon, zesty, along with maltiness and a bit of caramel.

The taste is richly malty, but with a nice fruit; rich, floury biscuits baked with a nice brown top, slathered in orange marmalade.

The mouthfeel has noticeable carbonation, but is also nicely smooth and round.

There is a pleasing aftertaste reminiscent of the flavors. This is a good and easy drinker.

Thanks to TheManiacalOne for sharing this with me.

A- goldish brown. Very similar appearance as their IPA, but definitely a lot less head. Very little head. Slightly below-Average carbonation

S- Slighty citrusy, pretty sweet smell but not overpowering.

T- a little bit sweeter then other pale ales that I've had.

M- Smooth and drinkable. Pretty well bodied.

O- I'm not a huge pale ale fan, but it's not bad for a pale ale. A little bit sweeter then most pale ales I've had. I'd rank a little bit above average, but nothing to brag about.

12 oz bottle from mixed 12 pack

A : light golden hue, big white froth

S: some biscuit English malts, a touch of pine hops.

T : decent balance of malts and hops, English tasting yeast, some herbal hops, probably cascade. A bit of diacetyl.

M: a bit flat, medium carbonation,

O: pretty standard English pale ale, it's a lot better on tap. Lackluster but within style. It is what it is.

Pours a nice golden color with a thick, frothy white head into my glass. Looks like your standard pale ale.

Dry with a good mix of sweet malt and grassy hops in the nose. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Lots of restraint here. Buttery malt and grassy hops that will please a hop-head without going overboard.

Lingering buttery malt and grassy hops also make up the mouthfeel here.

It's very simple but that may also be its' biggest flaw. Then again, some like their beer to be solid and drinkable. In that case, it certainly is.

A- Poured slightly cloudy orange/copper color. As served, one finger of off-white head with fair to little retention. Just a trace of lacing until the end.

S- Bread malt, caramel and grain.

T- Like the smell, but a great balance of same. The slightest hop twang at the end. They are light, herbal and grassy. Nice!

M-Light body with moderate carbonation.

O-This is a great, light pale ale that goes down smooth on a warm Cape Cod afternoon.

Poured into a 16 oz. glass from a bottle. Copper in color with a ¼ inch thick head leaving little to no lacing on the glass.

Medium/light in body. Taste is sweet & toasty, hint of biscuit. Very light on the hops with a slight grassy presence. The balance is shifted towards being a malt dominated brew which I find surprising for a pale ale.

Super lightly carbonated and is very drinkable.

A- Pours into my pint glass with a clear orange body. Foamy off-white head forms to a nice size but doesn't retain all that well. A small amount of spotty lace.

S- Aroma of decent strength reminds me of tart apple cider mixed with bread, caramel and grains. Actually fades away after a bit.

T- Once again, I get a strong slightly tart apple cider for the most part. In the finish it fades somewhat to allow caramel malt, bread, grains and some light hops to come through. Hops are herbal and grassy. Slightly oxidized.

MF- Light body with moderate foamy carbonation. Finishes tart and very slightly bitter, almost not worth mentioning.

With each sip this tastes more and more like apple cider (non-hard cider). While I enjoy that flavor, it is not what I really expect in pale ales, at least as a main flavor.

On-tap at Bukowski’s in Boston.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a slightly off-white head that leaves decent lacing.

Smells of muted pale malts with hints of deeper caramel malts. Also present are mild amounts of earthy and floral hops.

Tastes very similar to how it smells. Mildly dry pale malts up front are joined quickly by darker caramel malt flavors. Midway through earthy and slight citrus hops come into play, fading out into a mildly bitter ending. Mouthfeel is OK, with heavy carbonation.

Overall I didn’t think this was a bad beer, but it’s certainly below average for the style.

Poured a 2.5" off-white head. A clear and very light amber color. Not alot of smell except for a little whiff of malt. Nice clean mild malt flavor with a short finish including mild hops. I'd say this is a good summer beer, an easy drinker that is a small step up from BMCs but yet still fully enjoyable by all, and a decent value in cost.

Country Ale pours a lovely orange color with a white head that falls to a cap that sticks and laces well.

The smell is sweet with a little citrus.

The taste is also sweet with a bit of tartness. Not much hoppiness to speak of.

Medium bodied with a pretty clean finish.

This is pretty tasty brew. I wouldn't turn it down if I found it somewhere.
