12 oz brown bottle with a freshness date on the side of the label.
Appearance: Good frothing of the head around the inner rim of the glass, clear tawny hue shines bright in the light.
Smell: Mild malty buttery shortbread, faint fruitiness and esters with a weak siding of hops.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Solid crispness with in the slick mouth feel, a layer of diacetyl is are to get by unless you can tolerate it like I can. Light footed with the hopping, bitterness rides the wave of carbonation and struggles to balance. Malty sweet with lingering remnants of diacetyl.
Notes: Not a bad ale to be had, just a bit too sweet in my opinion that brings me to the thought of it being slightly off balance.
