Larry now is in Cans!! Just bought a sixer and the taste is delightful. Better than a bomber I think. The alcohol taste is well hidden and this is a very balanced presentation, however it's 8.5 ABV so it's tough for me to drink more than a couple at a sitting. The beer has a pleasant flowery-fruity
aroma and a smooth, non-watery mouthfeel. From the can, pours a big head with very good lacing.

I'm sampling this right now and it is TASTY

alcohol is hidden well too

I see the guy below me compared it to headdy topper and I have to say it's pretty damn close

not as fruity and the bitterness comes thru a little more but I can get this down the road

I don't have to drive 2 hours one way on a certain day of the week

HT is my favorite but this is damn good and I can always pour it into the headdy can

I cannot say enough about Larry. I think it is better than the almighty HeaddyTopper. Tough to find at the store but worth the effort. Will be trying to clone in the fall and hope to come close to the flavor and body of the real thing. My ATF. If Wachusett Brewery sees this PLEASE start selling these in 4/6 packs.

I'm visiting New Hampshire and this was the first beer I tried. I must admit that the name attracted me to this one, followed by the fact that it was an IPA. It pours very well and doesn't produce too much head. A bit cloudy appearance with a light brown/orange tiny to it. Pleasant to the nose with a bit of a citrus smell. Very flavorful with the hops dominating your tongue and leaving behind a bit of an aftertaste, but not unpleasant. It does have a tiny bit of a meaty consistency that sorta comes with the Imperisl IPA's, but it too isn't unpleasant. I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to having other Wachusett beers.

Copper orange and two finger ecru head of about one finger, solid lacing. Fools you into thinking it looks nearly clear when in fact it is partly cloudy when held up to the light.

Piney & grapefruit rind aroma, slight sweet malt presence.

First sip was a sharp palate stripper from the get go, quite resinous & pine needle dominated. The grapefruit rind factor comes into play after a handful of sips, lingering bitterness, some warming but not unexpected for 8.5%. Malts are lying low, hops are ridin' high.

Medium mouthfeel, spot on carbonation, lingering bitterness from the hops is pleasant and not overdone.Crisp finish after the initial shock treatment from the first taste.

One of those IIPAs that earn your respect as you make your way through the bomber. This is an under the radar solid IIPA deserving of the awards it has earned. After purchasing this on vacation in New Hampshire, I noticed "Larry" (fans of TruTV Impractical Jokers HAVE to laugh at the name) on the shelves in Vermont. This is an East Coast IIPA to send as a surprise extra: one that will impress hop zombies and one they likely have never heard of or thought of getting. Solid effort from Wachusett and highly recommended. Not a delicate tropical IPA, this is a solidly bitter high IBU hop bomb.
