Nice DIPA, not too aggressive. In a tulip glass it was a hazy apricot color with a small white head. There was a little bit of lace.

Aroma was citrus and sweet malt.

I got a taste of grapefruit and tangerine, very nice citrus presence. Some biscuity malt, complementing the citrus hops.

This was a very smooth, mellow beer. I'm beginning to appreciate these more subtle IPAs.

Poured from a 22 oz bomber, into a pint glass, it has a nice light amber color body with a nice 2"white foamy head that lays down to a nice lace around the edge of the glass.
The aroma has a nice malt smell but also a citrus bitter smell also from the hops. The taste is sweet up front then comes the peppery and bitterness from the hops in the middle of the tongue and closer to the back. the mouth feel is really good, well balanced goes down easy with just a little bit of a hop after taste. Overall this DIPA is really good for being only 7.5% abv, but i like them that way cuz they aren't heavy just goes down smooth.

Found on tap at Grumpy's in Reading, MA this DOIPA is a sightly cloudy yellow amber color with a decent white cover and fair lacing. The aroma brings a grapefruit bread and malt with floral nuances. Nice. The flavor offers much the same with pear and sweet wheat that blends the citrus bite and seet grains very nicely. It's a medium-full bodied brew with light carbonation that feels smooth and quite drinlable for the style.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass. Best by October 12, 2012.

Lots of thick and white coating off kiltered head, easily makes four fingers and clumps big. Body is a dull orange amber, slightly opaque, some fast rising large cola bubbles rising through the body.

Nose is interesting. Sweet hop action, a little powdery baby aspirin, sweet malts and light brown sugar.

Taste hits real interesting. Bitter front of pine, very quick and disintegrating. Finishes with a real nice sweet bready malt and light sugar powdered toast feeling which is real nice. Oily feel in the palate, with a thick presence.

Overall, starts off kind of boring, but taste improves. Not too bad.

Another one received in trade from Hevvymetalhippie , thanks for the awesome box!

A - Beautiful bold golden orange liquid with a good amount of haze and a frothy cream white head that leaves trails

S - nice grapefruit and citrus notes, with some grainy esters making their presence known near the end

T - Really nice sweet pine taste with some hints of the citrus on the nose, some maltiness coming in on the end , and no bitter finish

O - well done, delicious beer with the hops reserved but present, they make their presence known but then give away to a nice malt sweetness

Best by: June 2012 - I sat on this but it still tastes great.

A: Pours a very frothy white creamy head with tons of lacing and a sticky spider web trail. Ruby red / straw in color, a nice

S: Aroma of grapefruit , fresh oranges, no rind , very little pine which was somewhat surprising and refreshing.

T: Wow, still great tasting even a few months past the best by date. I had failed to find this the last time I had looked in June, and had put this in my fridge. No worries there though as it is still delicious. I will have to revisit with a fresher bottle next time. There is a sweetness that I want to describe as Ruby Red grapefruit and the color gently hints at it I felt. This is a very refreshing thirst quenching DIPA. There is no overbittered flavor in here at all, just fresh, just peeled orange citrus and grapefruit. Little if any pine at all, and a nice sweet malt backbone. More than two row, with some great specialty grains poking their head out.

M: Medium body with a mild mid level carbonation. Both I felt were spot on.

O: Overall this beer really surprised me. I had heard about this about two years ago and I would say if you can find it, it is definitely worth a shot. It should surprise you too if it has flown under your radar.

Poured from a 22-ounce bomber into a Barrington Brewery pint glass.

A: Poured a dense, golden orange color with an unfiltered, chilled haze beneath a three-finger head of off-white carbonation which left big chunks of lacing on the walls of the glass.

S: Ripe, fruity aroma with some spicy, grainy sweetness and a peppery, yeasty aroma. Hints of banana, citrus and floral yeast fill the nose.

T: Nice, mellow malt sweetness up front with a bready flavor backed by fruity malts. The bitter hops overtake around mid-palate with a soft, lemon peel and grapefruit juice flavor that's quickly balanced with sweet, peppery malt notes before settling into a slightly chewy, bitter finish.

M: Full-bodied DIPA with great balance and a mellow hop sting kept in check by the moderate ABV and solid malt backbone.

O: A nicely done DIPA that doesn't have to rely on a higher ABV to tease out plenty of flavors. The 7.5% ABV is noticeable in the dense, malty flavors but this brew still stayed light, fresh and flavorful with plenty of hops to satisfy.

22oz bottle into a tulip

A: Pours a mostly clear light orange with a big white head that fades to a layer and leaves some nice lacing on the glass.

S: The nose is full of aromatic hops in the form of pine, tropical fruits, and a bit of citrus. There's also a sweet malty aroma in the background. You can really smell the bitterness in there as well.

T: The taste is similar to the nose but with a touch more pine than tropical fruits as well as biscuity malt and a touch of toffee on the finish. Not as bitter as I had expected but still leaves a good amount of bitterness on the finish.

M: The feel is medium bodied and creamy.

O: Decent DIPA with good aromas and decent flavors. I'd probably reach for other things first but it's worth a try.
