Excellent aroma, creamy with a smooth but very flavored start and finish.

Poured from a can. This is a sub-par effort. There's no nose, the flavor is okay, the mouthfeel is not that creamy. Generally I find that this is a hard style to do well, but I rate the best I've had quite highly.

12po can poured into a pint glass.

A: Dark Fudgey brown color, almost black. Fine-bubbled tan head holds at a quarter inch cap and leaves thin sheets of lacing in its wake.

S: Milk chocolate, malted milk balls, softened whiffs of roasted barley and iced coffee. Very slightly woody. Brownies.

T: Woody roast and black coffee up front. Iced coffee with cream and two sugars. Unsweetened cocoa. Sharp citrusy hop interjection for a brief moment. Perhaps a bit grassy too. Yeasty toward the back. Roasted barley. Mildly acidic. Bakers chocolate and Woody roast on the long finish.

M: Medium bodied. Very smooth and creamy thanks to the lactose. Carbonation is a bit sharp and biting.

O: Not half bad. Not as smoothed over and approachable as some milk stouts, but that's not a bad thing. The roasted malt character is far more predominant in taste than the nose suggested.

Appearance: Dark with a Mocha color head.

Smell: Dark chocolate with a hint of coffee.

Taste: Milky stout with strong chocolate and molasses flavor with malt body.

Other: Cooking - broth for beef stews and meat pies... Dessert - Ice Cream Float...

Overall this is great stout. One of my favorites! Enjoy...
