So a west coast black and tan. I had my first one on draft 1/2s at the brewery. Mixes up into a dark brown SRM. Excellent head quality and size. Hoppy aroma, Cascades.
Taste is a mixture of Cascades and an almost oatmeal like smoothness. Roasted chocolate malt for sure. Some nuttiness. I can't think of a better version of style in the bottle that I've had before.

Pretty good. Well balanced. Only issue is alcohol too noticeable for percentage

Pretty black it tis. Not seeing light through it. Good frothy head of foam with lacing.
Roasty with dark chocolate and a strange other bitter smell.
Roasted malt with bitter chocolate, hints of fruit when I swish the beer in my mouth. Again, there's something going on with that bitterness that's off putting to me me.
Okay mouthfeel.
Good brew of the style to get me a Black and Tan style entry. Not something I would bother to buy again.

Amazingly dark in color, half stout supposedly, half eye of the hawk which is a dark coppery red, impressive color considering the combo. Light frothy head dissapates quickly., Smells decent like any other stout but light and modest. Has a strong metallic taste to it, quite strange. other than that eye of the hawkesque stout flavor is remarkable. mouthfeel is pretty nice, in the middle there. Overall I say 3 an a quarter although the metallic taste is strange.
