White Hawk Select IPA is a traditional India Pale Ale. We’ve blended American West Coast Cascade Hops with a very generous dose of English Fuggle Hops. This combination makes for a very aromatic character, as well as a truly authentic English flavor which you must taste to believe. “Hopheads” will love this brew!

This poured with lots of head, like a Sierra Nevada, and it had a nice hoppy scent. The first sip had a very smooth texture and felt slightly thicker than most IPAs. The taste was very bitter with plenty of hops, again similar to Sierra Nevada but a little more. It had some malt flavoring, but the hops definitely dominated. Overall, it was simply a good IPA. (Plus I got it on a great sale!)

Bought this on sale not knowing brewery had been shuddered for over a year.
A: yellowish-amber with a big thick head
S: grapefruit peel, floral, and malt
T: grapefruit peel, malt, pine, and tinges of bitterness
M: light and refreshing
O: Not bad for a low hops IPA. Was surprised by the ease of drinking it.

Clear amber colour and a white head, average looking. Smells very mellow, nothing really stands out, maybe mild hops. Tastes pretty smooth, not overly hoppy. Decent mouthfeel. Nothing groundbreaking but still not bad.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a semi clear golden amber color with a small white head. The aroma is bitter hops. The taste follows the nose.

This is a good, enjoyable, balanced, if not outstanding, IPA. Dark gold/pale amber, small white head soon thins to ring & wisps.
Aroma is spicy-resiny, hints of apple and honey.
Taste is spicy-resiny bitterness just dominating throughout, but restrained, balanced with some jammy raisin sweetness and toasty white bread, hints of grass. It's not great or exciting, but it's solid and quite drinkable. It maintains a nice balance of interest and character with easy drinkability.

Falling somewhere in the golden to light orange color range, this one comes in with respectable clarity to it and 3/5" white head. Uniform lace. The hops pop pink grapefruit and tea.
Taste brings in more of the woodiness and earthiness of the fuggles hop. They went a less traveled route here in that regard. Not gonna find too many California ipas with fuggles hops. This is for your uncle who likes em a little more balanced and whatnot. For being a Mendocino new recipe it sure came off like the old stuff, for better and for worse. These guys are impossible to make a light dry bodied beer.

Got as a gift! 12oz bottle served at 4deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a 1" high white head lasts almost 5mins before film out.
S- Not a lot there at all. Disappointing to say the least
T- Not a lot of hops. Fair amount of malt and sugar. Not a very good blend. It's ok but subdued
M- Dry and tart. Thicker than usual for this style.
O- Not a bad brew but not a great on either. Will not buy again but it's a nice try.
Food Pairing
This not bad brew went well with........ Chicken Kiev! The butter and dill makes a nice blend with the cheese then this brew cuts through it well.
Enjoy
