12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours a dark yellow color with a thick head of foam that coats the glass as it recedes. Aroma is mostly malty with slight earthy hop undertones. Very mild aroma.
First sip is a nice clean malty beer... not so much an APA, but has a nice clean malt flavor to it. There is a bit of lingering bitterness to back things up. I get a definite crystal malt flavor to the beer. Hops are not really present until the bitter finish, which is a touch on the harsh side but not overwhelming.
Overall, a solidly average beer. No real complaints, but nothing particularly exciting either. A nice craft beer to tide you over between hop bombs and oaked stouts.
