Let the tasting backlog continue.
Pours a standard blonde ale like pour, similar in appearance to the Peregrine Golden Ale they make/made. 1/3" white head. Average retention. The aroma didn't tip its hat as a lager. Just couldn't soak up any lager yeast in the aroma. Neutral like Switzerland. You can get a mild grapefruit presence of Saaz like hop aroma.
Taste is like a breadier BMC. The lager yeast is still MIA, the grain comes across as more golden and robust than your standard American Lager, pilsner malt seems to stand out here. Carbonation is up there yet appropriate. Hit of Saaz hops. Its somewhere in between a palate cleanser and a good czech pilsner. I did think it was better than the Peregrine Ale fwiw. I could knock one of these back and they become more appropriate the warmer the weather. You got about 10 beer spaces in the small cooler, half of those are ipas, 1-2 of those should be lagers/pilsners.

GRINE PILSNER 2/7/16
First one tried froma new shipment from the BOTM club my daughters gifted me for Christmas. Just arrived today.
a: Clear amber with a half finger white head which receded quickly to patches of surface foam and spotty lacing.
.
s; Biscuit and alcohol.
t: Follows the nose, although the flavor is more bready and substantial. Dry finish. Very easy drinking and highly sessionable.
m: Medium, very good body, especially for a pilsner, moderate carbonation tingle. Some may find it too heavy for the style but I like the quality feel to it.
o; A relatively substantial pilsner, good for the cooler seasons.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Clear pale copper color with thin white head and moderate lacing. Yeast and dough notes. Crisp taste that lets you know the hops are there. Somewhat bitter aftertaste that lingered too long IMO. It may be a decent Pilsner and Pilsners are just not my favorite style.

Pours a hazy, copper color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong pale malt, strong sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of a Czech Pilsner. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes strong pale malt, strong sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of yeast. Overall, a below average pilsner in all aspects.
