22oz brown bomber with a vintage date.

Bright amber color, beautiful lacing that sticks to the glass. Big orangey hop in the nose, earthy, rind, zest, & pith with some bready notes on the back. Smooth with some body, subtle crispness. Load of Cascade hop flavor; earthy, pith, mild zest, leafy, & rind. Solid malt backbone, slightly fruity, and more than enough bitterness to balance and stick on the palate. Ends juicy, pithy, bitter & semi-dry.

Love single hopped brews, the classic Cascade obviously used here and I get the full range of it while the base beer brings it as well. A real treat.

Poured two fingers of head on a clear, straw colored body.
The aroma is a nice grapefruit aroma. One sided, makes sense for a single hop ale though.
The taste has a moderate, but soft, pine and grapefruit bitterness. There's some honey lingering in the background too.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
No fireworks here, just a solid single hop pale ale.

A: pale-to-medium amber and clear, three fingers of ivory foam left smatterings of lace down the glass

S: lots of citric, maybe grapefruit, and floral aromas

T: slightly sweet and slightly chewy toasty malts underscore the generous Cascade hop character of this ale. Spicy and citric, with lots of flowers and grasses.

M: crisp, light, mild bitterness (55 IBU), ample carbonation, brisk and clean

O: an excellent APA, well-suited to the Cascade hop, and complemented nicely by the malts. Simple, but recommended. Depending on your feelings about the hops, your opinion may sway either way.

IBUs 55, ABV 7%

Hops: Cascade

Clear amber colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells mildly sweet and herbal with a spicy citrus aroma. Toasted grain and Eucalyptus scents. There is a floral scent here like ladies perfume.

Starts off malty and medium bitterness with some caramel to it. Toasted grain and Bittersweet candy. Tastes a little spicy with a hops on a soda cracker after taste. Not super complex this is a single hop beer but it does hit all the required notes to be a American Pale Ale.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall something like the Red tail Ale turned up to 11. Worth a try but its nothing worth doing back flips over. Found at the San Luis Obispo Bevmo.
