I stopped by last Sunday with Alison after hiking up at Soldier's Delight. She had been many times and recommended the food although the menu was not extensive. The blue cheese burger I had was above average and the fries were plus as well. The selection was fine but nothing special and I ordered a Heavy seas IPA and a Speed Wobbles as we enjoyed the waterfront and kept up with the Raven's game by the noise of the various nearby bars and fans at bars on their phones. It is perfectly fine but there are plenty of similar or better places within walking distance.

Had lunch here outside. Its a bar and grill. The draft list had some average-quality local craft beers on it. Nothing special, just flagships and seasonal beers. the burger and fries were good.

This tavern is in the same row of establishments on Thames Street as Cat's Eye and Slainte. Facing the waterfront, very nice location, within steps from basically anything else in Fells Point.

I came here in the late summer for lunch. They have about 12 or so beers on tap and a pretty long list of bottles (both domestic and foreign). I believe I had their Kooper's Tavern Yellow Tail Ale draft, which was good. Both my girlfriend and I had sandwiches which were delicious and reasonably priced.

The atmosphere has a classic pub style. door open, people coming and going, meeting up with friends at the bar. I liked it a lot. I'm sure this place gets crowded at night. I would definitely like to come here more often, whether it's for a meal or just for a couple of beers.

Another bar across the street from the waterfront in Fells Point. Upon entering a hostess greets you, but we bypassed the offer of a table and went to the bar. The bar is old with about 15 stools. Some hi-tops are behind the bar area along the other wall. There are a bunch of TVs and two nicely stocked glass front refridgerators sits behind the bar. There is a dog and nautical theme throughout the place.

There were twelve drafts which inlcuded three Heavy Seas beers, Victory Donnybrook, Flying Dog Woody Creek,Sam Summer Ale, DFH 60 Minute, Newcastle, and some other macro beers which I did not take notice of. There are roughly 60 beers listed as bottles in the menu.

We ordered some pints of Loose Cannon and some food. The food soup and burgers we ordered were good. Others around us seemed to be happy with the food too.

This place always provides a mellower setting over Max's and provides a nice view of the harbor. I think this place has improved over the last few stops I have made here.

Another first time stop, I had hit every other place around it, but never Kooper's. We went to eat, and was pleasantly surprised by the number of beers available.

A basic restaurant, vibe here, nothing that says hey I'd like to sit here all day. However, a restaurant I'd be happy to come back to, and they had good classic rock playing at a decent volume.

The beer selection was nice with a good mix. Everything from Chimay, and Aventinus to a local fave McHenry Lager. This is the type of beer list, and they're all on the menu, I like to see when dining out.

The service was quick, energetic, and our waiter knew the menu, and was able to assist. Very much top notch for a restaurant in the price range Kooper's is in.

OK now I'm throwing them an exceptional with the food. First price for what you got. The food was good, well prepared, and well plated at a reasonable price. Second, and the final push, was I was able to eat Gonzo Sliders. Cooking well with beer is a true delight. These burgers had Gonzo Porter used in the preperation, and I was also able to pair it with GP one of my favorite beers. So kudos to the chef's for coming up with this one, and lets hope they add some more. I'll be checking back.

Fourth stop on our Baltimore pub crawl. Stopped in here on a whim and grabbed a round table near the bar. Decent sized crowd huddled around the bar on a late Sunday night. Spacious area in the back restaurant area. Pretty large selection of taps, and a very large amount of bottled beers in the cooler behind the bar. Service was pretty fast. My friend bought the round of beers, and he was served quickly. We only stayed here for one beer, but this seemed like the kind of bar that I could spend some time at. Worth checking out.

Had not been to Kooper's in some time, so thought I'd stop in on a Saturday afternoon, following a brief stop at the Cat's Eye. Like the Cat's Eye, this place is much bigger then it appears from the outside. There is a fairly good size bar on the right as you walk in, with a sizeable dining area throughout and in the back. Kooper's also has a good size upstairs dining area, with yet another bar area (if memory serves - didn't go upstairs on Saturday). There is a lot of wood all around the interior, and Kooper's has sort of light and airy feel to it. So this is yet another comfortable place to hang out and have a beer or three.

At least on this day Kooper's had around 10 or 11 different beers on tap. Can't say the selection was anything memorable, with a number of Clipper City and Flying Dog beers here. They also have their own yellow tail ale, which is made for them by Clipper City. According to the bartender, it's pretty much the same as the clipper city gold recipe.

While the draft selection isn't all that impressive, Kooper's has a surprisingly decent bottle selection. There were a number of Belgian selections (DT, Corsendonk, caracole, chimay, etc), erdinger, and so on. So plenty of options should one grow tired of the fairly mediocre draft selection.

As for food, I got the wings here, which were decent. They were also fairly reasonable I thought, with 10 wings for $7. Beer prices were again on the high side, with my 'fake pint/shaker glass' of red sky costing $5. Service was fine for what it was. The relatively young work staff was pleasant and friendly, if not overly knowledgeable about beer.

All things considered, this is another pretty solid destination on the waterfront, and one I appreciated a bit more then the cat's eye (the bathroom door locked here). Still, it's just down the street from Max's and the Wharf Rat, both places that are superior to Kooper's (IMHO).
