Went on a Thursday about 5PM, no crowd what so ever so the service was excellent. The tap selection was almost overwhelming, but had the highest quality draft and bottle list I've seen in my 5 visits to New Orleans. The place divey inside. I did not venture to the balcony which seemed like a popular choice. I was able to sample 4 different NOLA brewing beers, which is a nice change of pace from Abita. Also had my first ever drafts of Evil Twin. The beer fridge had large and small format bottles. Excellent selection of sours, had Brooklyn Black Ops, Life & Limb amongst others. Best selection by far in New Orelans, not in the Quarter with all the tourist drunks, a must stop for any beer fan.

Best place in NOLA to find a variety of well crafted beer. Whiskey/Scotch selection is a bonus.

Great selection of draft and bottles. I've been traveling around the US and have been looking for any type of de Struise beer for awhile (either bottle or tap)--they had Weltmerz on tap. Definitely a world class beer list.

I went on a Friday night around 9:30 PM. Place was busy, but not packed. Service upstairs was slow and impersonal. Downstairs service was better. Nice that they could keep my tab at both bars. I went for the beer list, not the service, but would have been nice if the bar staff demonstrated an interest in what they had available.

Atmosphere was what you would expect from an older NOLA bar (i.e., older building, creaky stairwell, mismatch furniture, low light, etc.). Crowd the night I went was mostly college-educated late 20's, early 30's. Was able to easily find a place to sit with my wife.

Did not try the food.
