Located in Hell`s Kitchen is a great beer bar, which is a great addition to this neighborhood. The Pony Bar is approaching a year in business and seems to be doing a lot of things right. It is a small, well designed space. The beer is all American, seriously, no pun. Cigar City, Rogue, Smuttynose, Weyerbacher, and Brooklyn (among others) were on tap when I visited. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They serve beers that are all priced at 5 dollars. And the food is pretty good too...I look forward to coming back.

Not a ton of taps (~20), but everything on tap was stuff you don't see at any other bar. Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed, but most seats were taken. Best part was all beers were $6. Great beer and it only cost $6!?! They also had two TVs playing the world cup! You wouldn't think that is all that impressive, but most "Craft beer" bars tend to ditch the TVs to promote conversation, but I enjoy my conversations with the game on in the background while I drink great beer. I'm going to make it a point to stop at the Pony Bar every time I hit the city.
