Great service - ask for Sean, he knows his stuff and will help you out.
Expanding bottle selection, especially as CT starts to get more brewers to distribute to them.
Small, kind of hidden store, great people, good prices, best selection in Litchfield county from what I have found. Definitely recommended!

This is my neighborhood store pretty much and I honestly don't buy most of my beer here because they simply don't stock the variety of bigger stores or stores that really cater to the beer nuts like me. I would say they definitely focus more on the wine lovers so I get some wine and champagne here and always check their stock for anything interesting in beer. I gave them a 5.0 for service simply because of one guy that works there, Morgan. He is a young guy that has good personal experience with most of the beer stock and has a good feel for all the nuances us beer folks care about. He's fun to do some beer chat with and they usually offer a modest beer tasting of some featured beer every Thursday afternoon/evening. Occasionally a brewer will show up for these tastings but they are pretty meager affairs as a rule, better than nothing though. Again Morgan provides the incentive for buying from this store. Arguably there are at least a couple other package stores within ten minutes that offer better selection, if not much better. But their selection is serviceable, it's not just a macro hangout and he does regularly rotate in some new and interesting choices. It's a fair mix of imports and domestic micros. Beer lovers will find some goodies here but not likely to uncover anything highly unusual. It's not a true "Beer Store", which is why I never submitted it for BA to consider. While most of the staff is friendly and helpful, Morgan is the real star for the beer lovers and makes this store an appreciated supplier.
Update 03-22-14; selection has improved significantly in the past year or so and Sean has become the new beer expert on staff. While I would say this store remains primarily a wine purveyor, beer has become a strong part of their offering. I buy much more beer there now and can expect some fun surprises on most visits. Sean knows his stuff and like most if the current staff is very personable.
