As Bellingham doesn't have a dedicated beer store (RIP, The Bottle Shoppe) most of our bottled beer needs are met at the local grocery stores. Albertsons is about average for a grocery store in the PNW. Finding well made craft beer is a given, but Albertsons doesn't carry much outside of the mainline micros. The prices are average, and as far as service, well it's a grocery store how much service can you expect? If you're in the 'Ham and are going out for a picnic Albertsons does decent grocery store fried fried chicken and you can grab a sixer while you're there. Otherwise check out any of the Haggen's, the Food Coop or Terra Organica for better selections.

Stopped in here to grab a few groceries when the wife and I were in town visiting family. I decided to check out the beer selection while I was there. Not too bad of a selection from what I gathered for a grocery. They had a decent selection of micros, with the highlights being Alaskan and Deschutes. They carried about 4 or 5 of Deschutes offerings, and about 3 or 4 of Alaskan's. I also saw some from Stone, Sierra Nevada, Ommegang, Pyramid, Redhook, and Bridgeport. For a grocery store, this was decent IMO. I'm sure it doesn't compare to what one can get at the local beer stop, but this was alright. If you're here to grab some groceries, might as well grab a sixer or two.
