I wish that the Petrol Station was closer to me, but it might be a good thing, because I don't think I'd ever leave.
The Petrol Station is a pretty solid place. Starting off as a coffee station/bar, this place has definitely became a solid beer stop in Houston. The selection of beers they get is always of high quality, and it seems like they're always getting something good in. Some nights if you show up at peek times, it can take a little while to get your food and drinks, but it is well worth it. Get a 512 pecan porter with a Rancor burger, and you can call it a night. The collection of spent bottles they have stashed lets you know that these doods definitely know/give a shit about beer. The beer is reasonable, but the quality of food, you will be paying for. I've only had the burgers there, and they are not something to fuck with. Get them like the menu says, and its well worth the price.
As was stated, if I lived closer, I would be there constantly. Good thing it sits right in the middle of a neighborhood..

Great spot to enjoy a quality burger (also don't miss the specials) and quality beer. Their selection is not huge but the beer selection is tough to beat. Small inside but a lot of space outside on the patio and that was just enlarged a few months ago. Feels like a neighborhood bar. Very knowledgeable staff too.

I really like the vibe of this place. My kind of laid-back joint...Staff seemed knowledgeable and they were friendly. Good selection of beers, albeit not the largest in Houston. We sat outside and enjoyed my first Brash beer. Anxious to go back (slightly less excited about Brash beers but I will give them another shot with a different style).

Surprised at the residential neighborhood location. Got there on a Tuesday right after they opened. Was already pretty crowded. Not too many seats inside. Larger area outside (not good on this particularly colder (for Houston) day). Great selection of beer (you couldn't go wrong with any of them), but what I was really after was trying out some Brash stuff, which is right down the street. I was not disappointed.
I was most surprised by the quality food to match the quality draft list. Did not expect that.
This is a great place.

neighborhood bar for me. have around 30 taps, all quality craft. typically weighted toward hoppier and higher abv beers. fairly priced, good food, but its not quick when busy. limited inside seating, but tons outside. fun, laid back vibe. my favorite place to drink in houston.
a few extra notes if you havent visited:
-there is no waitstaff. order beers and food at the bar. your food will be delivered to your table, however.
-no dogs. kids are allowed, but you dont see them too often.
-no tvs
-no darts, bar games.
