Wow, how could I not have reviewed Keystone yet...an obvious oversight.

Man, I'm so lucky to live about 7 minutes from here. A beautiful selection of malt, hops and yeast, plus just about any piece of equipment or chemical you could ever want. And the service is really incredible. They know their stuff. REALLY know their stuff. Unless you're looking for something rare you can walk in and know you'll walk out with everything you need, and have all your questions answered along the way. Also a nice selection of tap handles, signs, neons, tee-shirts, etc. Third Thursday of every month is the homebrew club meeting, 7:00. Get on their email newsletter as well, you'll get news about stuff like special varietal hops they get in or their locally-pressed cider in the fall.

I am a beginner homebrewer, and have taken Keystone's "Intro to Brewing" class, and have now shopped there a couple of times.

The space of the new building is now very spacious, well organized, and has space for a classroom in the back. They have a diverse selection of equipment, books, and ingredients for beer making, but also wine and cheese making. They also have a section of glasses, tshirts, taps, signs, and other brewery swag.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They seem more than willing to help out with any questions and help you assemble a recipe and ingredients. They sell what seems to be a wide variety of extract and then grain, hops, and yeast. they also have a large number of pre-assembled recipe kits for brewing any standard style you can think of.

My husband is now on his 5th homebrew batch, and this place has been our provider of all things homebrewing since he started. You can tell that the employees really take what they do seriously. The selection is OUTSTANDING and even if they do not have a certain kit in stock, they will put one together for you. Anything you could possibly need, they have. I love the atmosphere of this place...even though I am not the one brewing, it's fun to go and be around others who take craft brews seriously. Very nice and helpful staff. All of the brews my husband has made have turned out great...I'm sure the kits with explicit directions have helped, along with all of his research and effort. I just wish this place was closer!

I can't say enough about this homebrew shop. They have fantastic prices on most things plus a great selection of hops and even better selection on yeast. Keystone also has a huge assortment of other brewing related items like cheese making, wine making, and books and more. They also stock kegging related equipment and related parts like o-rings and tubing. They also have merchandise from main stream breweries and a crazy amount of glassware. They have a very knowledgeable staff. I had questions concerning my new nitro system and the staff answered all my questions and helped me get set up.
Highly recommended.

While I don't necessary homebrew myself I have a lot of friends that do. The new store is leaps and bounds ahead of the older store. The staff here is always very attentive and willing to help in anyway possible. The new store has a great feel to it. Great lighting and its huge! They have all the brewing supplies you could ever need here. They hold wine making and beer tasting classes. In addition to hops, malt, grain, etc you can pick up glasses, brewery swag, growlers, books, etc, etc you name it. This place is downright awesome and if you homebrew you definitely need to check this place out. Even if you don't homebrew you need to check this place out I'm sure you will learn a thing or two as well.

So I finally decided to take the leap and get into homebrewing. Indeed as I type this, my first batch is in its 7th hour of fermentation.

There is a brew shop fairly close to me, and one in Philly that I could easily get to, but I decided to get my supplies from Keystone, based on reputation and word of mouth, and so far, I'd say the recommendations are justified. The shop is meticulous and stocked with pretty much anything you could ask for. Including but not limited to: beer-making kits, wine-making kits, cheese-making kits, bottles, caps, utensils, miscellaneous glassware, literature, sanitizer, fresh live yeast, fresh refrigerated hops, sugar, fruit extract, fresh barley, dry extract, liquid extract, brand name kits, and more importantly, kits assembled by the employees, all containing fresh ingredients for making a wide range of diverse beer styles, from witbiers to imperial stouts.

The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about the craft, and can answer all your [relevant] questions. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'd gladly go out of my way to get to this place for my brewing supplies from now on.

Just wanted to state that the new place is bigger and much needed. The few times I've been to the 'old' spot I was cramped next to hop pellets and boilers and various equipment. The new spot, everything is laid out nice and all your homebrewing needs are at your fingertips. There were about three people working there on a slow tuesday afternoon. Also a nice glassware selection at pretty good prices. Im picking up a Allagash glass next time im in. Also tons of empty bottles to stick ur homebrew in. Not sure if he still works here but ask for Aaron, super nice guy that knows his stuff.

The guys at Keystone Homebrew have moved to a bigger place just up the road! On Rt 222 North in the second shopping center on the right-hand side (just up from the intersection at Rts 309/202/463).

Haven't been there yet but they were way overdue for a much bigger space. Glad to hear they made the plunge.

These guys are very knowledgeable and will help anyone, from the curious beginner to sage brewer.

For something different (or wives of brewers), try the fresh mozzarella kit. Amazed at how good fresh cheese is.

salu!

Keystone Homebrew Supply is a great local shop that has just about everything.

This location is right on the corner of North Wales Rd and 309 in Lansdale/Montgomeryville, Pa. This place has a great selection, whether your looking for supplies to make your homebrews, ingredients to put in your homebrews, or books or other such items needed to make or enjoy beer. This place has it. They also have other novelities as well that are great for those looking to add things to a basement bar or great gifts for your friends that enjoy homebrews as well.

This location also has some great literature, if your looking to just start home brews, or if you have been brewing for some time and you want to challange yourself with new harder brews.

The staff is super knowledgable, and most brew themselves. These guys know there stuff. So if you ever have a question about home brews, seek these guys out. If they don't have what your looking for, they can most likely get it.

This is a great place. Check it out. Take a stab at home brews.

This has become my go-to place for homebrew stuff. It is set up in what appears to have been a house, and is quite cramped and somewhat messy. Don't let this fool you though, they have tons of stuff packed into this place, and if you can't find anything just ask and they will track it down for you right away.

The best part about this Keystone is the service. Everyone I have dealt with knows a lot about their products, as well as brewing. They have given me a lot of good advice and are always friendly and fun to talk to.

I go out of my way and drive farther to get my supplies and equipment at this place, but it is totally worth it for their willingness to help and the quality of their ingredients, which I am assuming most turn over pretty quickly. I highly recommend this establishment.
