A nice surprise when I walked up the beer row, I was just looking for some Steaks to throw on the grill...and there it was, Cooler on 1 side Shelf on the other. Avery nice selection of Imports and US Craft brews. Not an overwhelming selection but everything I wish I could get in my little no beer town of Conneaut. For 1 stop shopping for a summer BBQ and beer, It's all here. I actually found Goose Island Oatmeal Stout....It's been MIA since Budwieser took over this once proud brewery....Anyway. A lot of the B M C selection, of course, but nice variety of Stone, Bells, Avery, Southern Tier, Sierra Nevada....etc.

Quality: I was so very impressed with this "little market that could" in a world of big box markets in our area. It has old style fixtures, set up, uneven floors and (if memory serves) a visibly old ceiling but it also has a lot of charm and local people have loved Reiders for years. It tends to carry specialty foods (Boar's head meats and cheeses for example) and locally produced foods and baked goods.
Service: I did not ask for much service but the people at the meat counter and the check out people were all just fine. Really, I am not sure what "service" that I really need in a Market like this.
Selection: This is (of course) where Reider's Shines. I observed selections like:
nearly every Unibroue beer
generous selection of Great Lakes Brewing Company
12 different "Mad Brewer" bombers
5 or 6 different "Bell's" sixers
8 different Stone bombers
A Belgian mix sixer of not easy to find selections
At least 6 different SN sixers
Corsendunk corked bottles
All of the Lindeman's that I have tried (6 to 8 of them)
Goose Island (many sixers)
Victory (well represented)
Brewery Ommegang (well represented)
at least 3 different Abita sixers
and many, many others that I cannot think of.
Value: Prices were probably fair (the "Mad Brewer" bombers were $6.99 each I think) and comparable to the area.
Notes: Overall a nice surprise from a place that I did not expect to find much. Oh, they also had the usual BMC but the import and craft selections drawfed those "cases," another good point about this place. Just glancing down the isle one might think "What is all of this other beer that outnumbers my precious BMC?"
