I had been in here a few times before and wanted to see if anything had been improved since the last time I had been in. Not much really has changed and by that I mean I was again not really impressed. There was the standard macro beers that didn't take too much space but a good amount of the space used for beer. There was the more easy to find beers such as Sam Adams & Harpoon and some of the easier to get locals like Mayflower. There was a few good sampler packs of craft beer and even a few growlers of a particular local brew but now bombers of any kind. The service was not very helpful. I was one of two people in the store and even though there was more clerks than customers, I found it hard for anyone to lend a hand and help me out. The prices were standard for what beer prices I check. If you were in the area, you could find some good beer for a normal night or even a BBQ but this was not a place to seek out for craft beer. To end on a good note, the wine selection seemed expansive and there was a wide selection.

I think the previous beerfly review is highly suspect. "Kick ass selection of beer?" You have to be kidding. They have all the usual suspects and the selection is okay. Take a walk two blocks east to Berman's and the selection is much better. Bermans is good but not stellar. If you want "kick ass" then go to Julio's or Elm Street Liquors in Somerville. Busa's has some 750 ml bombers and a few of the regional craft beers. I did buy the SA Chocolate Bock at one time, but that was the most exotic thing on the shelf at the time.
I went back to Busa's just to make sure that I didn't pan the place without just cause. The selection is pretty lame. They have some Southern Tier or some Belgians and Berkshire 750 ml bottles on the left side as you walk in. The cooler is dedicated to suitcases of 24 and 30 packs of pretty crappy macros. There are some very uninteresting other beers, such as SA around the cooler if you need something besides Corona and A-B. This place is crap and I won't be going back. Walk the half block and go to Berman's which is continuing to impress more and more with its selection.
Update 5-2010: The guy who thought this place had a kick ass selection removed his review. I called him out for score altering, shined the light on him, and he scurried away.
Update 12-2010: Berman's is now a really good beer store and just a block away. Why in the world would you go to Busa for beer when you have a world of good beer so close by.
