200th review and this was a great one. I loved this beer and would consider it in the top three beers I've ever had.
Pours a bright copper with orange highights. The head started huge but mostly diminished leaving blobs of lacing behind.
The aroma is huge on this one! Buttered biscuits, banana, spices like clove, cinamon, nutmeg, pear, apple, soft alchohol when cold and more pronounced as it warms up, sugar cookies... I could go on and on.
Flavor came in waves and was very full reflecting mostly what was in the nose. Very complex. Very much on the sweet side. Very much like a rich dessert.
Body was medium on the thin side and totally refreshing. Carbonation was soft enough...just right.
Finish seemed balanced and clean with a slight dryness to counter the initial sweetness.
This is what craft beer is about.
