Purchased at Kasa in SF, in a bottle with goblet.
A previous reviewer says it looks like Pulp Fiction "what's in the briefcase" golden and I honestly couldn't say it better. This thing pours with an iridescance, like the way honey looks to Pooh. A proper solid white tiny bubble head which quickly recedes, it's the best looking tripel I've seen.
Smells like a sunny mixture of fruits, slightly tingly but never drifting even close to the dreaded sparkling wine territory.
Fully inhabiting this vibe, the taste follows with the smoothest range of flavors I've had in a tripel, rivaling some of my favorite dubbels in complexity and that certain sweet spot I'm always seeking in a Belgian.
Mouthfeel is velvety with just enough texture and bite to let you know it's a serious, thoughtful beer. This thing can go down so easy; it's amazing how effortlessly the nearly 9% alcohol is masked.
This is by far the best tripel I've ever had. Previously I counted myself as a dedicated fan of dubbels but reserved tripels for more adventurous, risk taking moments - I wasn't the biggest fan of the style. This beer just changed that. Fantastic.
