11.2 oz bottle with cryptic date poured into a snifter. Pours a clear hay golden color with a big fluffy head. Good retention and lacing.

Aroma is yeasty, sweet and fruity but moves toward perfumy and floral with warmth. Low on phenols and booze and the general "heavy" feeling some tripels suffer from: Damnation, I am looking at you!

Tastes is bittersweet in a very gentle way with ample fruitiness. Carbonation is very high that creates an illusion of very dry finish at first; but the finish is eventually found on the sweeter side as the beer warms. Light body without a touch of alcohol, this one is easy to drink.

Hard to point any flaw out but this beer didn't wow me in spite of all its good features. Perhaps it's the overall profile?

Regardless, a well made beer that I will drink again but not at the price of almost 7 dollars a bottle.

Golden straw-colored with a rich thick head. Aroma of very citrusy hops, almost like Sprite. Malty rich sweetness to the hop flavor with definite lemony finish. Really pleasant bright carbonation. I typically don't like tripels to be this sweet but I appreciate how this one kind of marks its territory as a certain take on the style.

330ml (best by date illegible) into a tulip. Pours a golden orange w/ a massive rocky white head, steady carb, chunks of lace.

Aroma is lots of citrus and spice up front, candi sugar, earthy mango. Smells tropical w/ just a hint of musty yeast.

Taste is a little less impressive than the aroma. Belgian yeast, sweet pale malt, clean water. Slight bubblegum.

Mouthfeel compensates for the taste - smooth, velvety, semi-dry. Just right.

Overall this is a solid tripel. Hits all the marks. Not the best I've had but still a world-class version of the style.

Tulip glass from a tap at Barley's in Greenville SC

A: Pours a bright, pale honey/golden color, with a small-to-moderate size, exceptionally creamy head. Head has good retention, at least as a ring.

S&T: Light and fruity, although no specific fruit comes to the fore. Clove and banana elements, but less pronounced than in some tripels. Honey too. The aroma is a bit boozy, but in a positive way ... think fine brandy or liquer.

M: Very smooth, with a bit of alcohol warming. Nice, light carbonation.

Overall: One of the best tasting tripels I have ever had. Complex and flavorful, but not challenging. Very refined. Makes an excellent sipper, and I took a good long time to finish my serving, enjoying every sip.

A-cloudy yellow with a good thick white head

S-white wheats and a good citrus scent. some tang in there. medium strength

T-comes in with a great taste of subtle pale belgian malts, wheats, citrus, and a good taste of caramel. its a good and light tasting flavor, yet robust at the same time. its subtle and clean. has a good flavor of banana and ends with a matching after-taste.

M-very heavy carbonation with a crisp finish

O-generally for me, this style gets pretty harsh and unenjoyable. i've had many bad examples of tripels. this beer just redefines what i think of them. it is so great and complex, with such a smooth taste with that typical explosive belgian mouthfeel. i could always have this.

Old, faded straw color. Enormous fluffy head. Fairly translucent.

Big aroma of fruit and yeast. Bananas and hay. Huge scents.

It all comes together in the taste. Very full flavor and well balanced. Fruit, flowers, yeast, with a slight kick.

Very creamy and smooth but doesn't drink heavy at all.

Refreshing and fulfilling.
