Wow, really this place is the end for finding craft beer in the Christchurch. I have been here almost six months and they have the most consistent selection and stable pricing. The New World is located at last stop of the current Metrostar and Halswell Lines making it easy to get to. But more importantly is the selection.
The current Harringtons, Emerson's,and Green Man lines are mostly in stock with a few rare offerings sprinkled in. All beer is held in cold storage and available in singles. Most of the beer is sold in 500ml bottles and very little six-pack offerings, a small price to get for finding any name in NZ brewing. The imports are well represented especially the Germans and British imports.
The service is non existent and may even question your selection, but its a supermarket, and in the end they are just trying to make conversation. As for a value expect to pay around NZ$7 per 500ml depending on the style which seems fair all and a better value with the exchange rate then most places in the states.
Summary- Worth the trip and experience, my highest recommendation.
