A dark German lager also known as a Schwarzbier (black beer). Medium-light bodied, with a dark brown color with ruby highlights. A balanced malt flavor that is roasted yet smooth Brewed with Midnight Wheat.

Black in color with no penetration to light. There's a fingernail of beige resting on top. I smell notes of dark malt, chocolate, and caramel. I taste light notes of dark malt, chocolate, and caramel. This lager has a smooth, silky mouthfeel.

Pours a black color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of sweet malt, strong pale malt, hint of oatmeal, and a hint of roasted malt. Fits the style of a Schwarzbier. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, strong pale malt, hint of oatmeal, hint of roasted malt, slight hop, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, decent appearance, aroma, blend, and body.

This one actually was less pleasant than their standard oatmeal stout. It was supposed to have chocolate and coffee flavors but actually had little distinguishable flavors period. I couldn't taste chocolate, coffee, or even the oatmeal backbone.

Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown colored head. It smelled roasty with chocolate and caramel notes. It tasted of chocolate, toffee and roasted maltiness. It was crisp and smooth.
