500ml can served in an imperial pint glass at fridge temperature. I found it amusing that this is classified as an English Bitter rather than an IPA... labels aside, I can't wait to sample this.

Appearance- A light, tawny gold beer pours from the can... the head rises a creamy finger and a half, resting elegantly and remaining full. It appears light and easy, sessionable on the eyes.

Smell- I'm getting a smoky, medicinal, almost Scotch whiskey aroma... like a Belhaven ale... it's really quite nice and it reminds me of the Holidays several years ago when I first got into single malts. Aside from that, the nose is clean with a wisp of tangy hops.

Taste- The hops rule here as they appear early in the mouth, then stay right through to the finish and thereafter. The distinctly English character, with Challenger and First Gold hops, balances well enough with the malts and the result is a very light, easy session beer that would be great with nachos or similar noshes.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Very soft and simple in the mouth... the gentle carbonation withers after a few seconds, which is fine for this delicate, approachable style. I'll agree this is more an English Bitter than an IPA, it drinks so smoothly and restrained.

Small big bubbled head. But it leaves some excellent lace (blanketing the glass). The liquid is caramel brown and is crystal clear.

Mild smell that reminds me of a mild ale. Certainly not an IPA.

Lots of crystal malt flavor up front. The body seems flat, even for a cask conditioned beer. Little hop--this is very much improperly named--I think British Mild, not IPA. As a mild it is mediocre. As an IPA it clearly misses the mark.

Got it from England.

A - Ruby reddish color, with almost not any foam. Lots of bubbles.
S - Very poor,nothing exited.
T/M - Can't feel anything because of huge unpleasant carbonation. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Watery taste. As i drink some cheap supermarket beer.

O - So,ether this beer is really bad, ether something was wrong with this bottle i got. Huge disappointed for this beer. It said on the bottle so many positive things,so this IPA must be much, much better then it is. Also, where is IPA taste in it?
I know what i drink, and this is so bad.

I flew to London and got this?!? Seriously?!?

This is a bad beer and an awful IPA. I dumped it in the street and got something different.

My first home brew in college was substantially better than this.

No hop smell or taste. Very malty. Sort of like Lillian's Irish red.

S:standard English hop smell, big on malt, caramel, balanced

T: odd flavor of apple, caramel, sweet, light pine hop finish

M: creamy with low carbonation

O: reviewed from notes on 8/2/13

I was on a layover at Heathrow and was in the mood for a nice, hoppy IPA. What I got instead was this. I knew something was off when I could barely smell any hops. My first taste convinced me they pulled the wrong beer. I sent it back and watched them pull another. It was the same. It's not an awful beer, but it is an awful "IPA."

Overall, meh. I would not come back to this well again.
