This is a very warming beer. I speak not of the euphemistic alcoholic 'warmth' however. The warmth this beer conveys is more that of a hearty chicken soup on a cold winter day--an easy digestive, yet packed full of flavor and body...and yes, warmth.
Poured from the nitro can, the stiff head and spot-on amber hues this beer displays make it almost as enjoyable to look at as to drink. Quintessential beer worship.
The aroma gives off a mild ester, but with a good 'tan' body following close behind. Foretaste is, of course, flat as a pancake (nitro can), where the hops predominate. Midrange exhibits a perfect display of balance, as the hops neatly stretch and hem the body across the width of the tongue, presenting characteristically-crunchy ale waters with savory, blood-red-steak type juices.
Aftertaste exits cleanly with only a mild hop, which does not linger.
Serving type: nitro-can
