Stopped by here on my way from Greater Cleveland to Chautauqua, NY in part to visit Southern Tier Brewing Company in Lakewood, NY. I was made aware of this place by my BA friend cooncat who has attended many visits here.
Quality: I found the quality of this place to be top notch. The store is narrow but very deep with a nice rounded bar with 5 or 6 "tall" tables and about 10-12 bar stools as well. There is great beer signage all around including that of one of my favorite breweries, Voodoo Brewing Company (a big plus to see those signs). There is a small area with a few couches and a table situated in front of a long cooler filled with an enormous collection of (mostly) singles of fine import, craft beers with some BMC (the minority for sure) as well. Emphasis on local craft (as anyone would expect) including 5 or 6 Voodoo bottles. I did not really check prices carefully but the Chimay bottles and Tripel Karmeleit prices that I do recall were reasonable. This is a nice, comfortable place with a GREAT idea for presenting beer.
Service: Friendly and knowledgable. I was in the middle of driving for a few hours so I did not have any beers on tap but I asked a few questions (I came primarily to see if I could catch a beer on tap from Voodoo called "Got Gas? Nitro IPA" but alas, they had just finished the tap recently. The bar tender (owner?) indicated that they always have a Voodoo on tap. Anyway, I did not require lots of service but my interaction was pleasant.
Selection: This is where this store really shines. Mentioned in parts of sections above, very thorough selection of imports, craft beers. Particularly good selection of Belgians (big plus for me) and uncommon German imports. Really nice, and also really nice to have most of those available as singles.

First off I live in Erie, PA. Overall there are only a few bottle shops and grocery stores that carry craft beer. I feel U Pick 6 is one of the reasons that craft has grown in popularity in Erie. The atmosphere is great, and so is the tap selection. Cheers!

MY first post. Suprised this place hasn't popped up on the BA radar yet. It's the latest venture for the U Pick 6 crew with a great location on Peach & 4th. I was out of town working in the area and a local guy pictched it to me. Went for lunch on a weekday afternoon last week.
Walked in and felt instant bond. It's all about the beer! Unused pulls stick up all around the perimeter at the top of the walls. Totally suds oriented stuff hanging all over the walls.
Sat down at the bar and had instant service to sample the wares. Amazing! Great variety of choices, and having been exposed to the WOB experience in FL, I was suprised I didn't recognize many of the drafts on display. "Kid" and "candy store" describe it the best.
Ordered the beer braised sausage and sweet potato salad that Molly recommended and got served soon after. Good stuff!
As for the beer? I love firsts, and the Stone offering they had in the cask at room temp was "exciting and new". The Love Boat crew couldn't have made the my time more enjoyable. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Experience it for yourself:)
