I'm not sure how an "Irish Red" ale differs from a British Isles pale ale. I'd say Long Ireland Celtic Ale qualifies as both. It was poured at refrigerator temperature from a growler (it probably wouldn't benefit from being at "cellar" temperature). It has a deep amber body and an off-white head that fades fairly quickly. It has a pleasant flavor, maybe slightly lacking in body. There's a nice bitter hit that fades with the swallow. The aftertaste is slightly malty. Among British Isle style pale ales brewed on Long Island that I've tasted, I'd prefer Montauk Driftwood. (Just before this ale, I had a Long Ireland Hooligan Stout that was very nice, so this one was a bit of a letdown.)

I think this one is getting a lower than correct rating. Its a solid Irish Red. Malty and smooth, what's not to like? Not exotic but tasty and easy to drink.

Has a nice brown color, small and quickly disappearing head with very little lacing. Smells sweet with some fruity accents. The sweetness also appears first in the taste, followed by some slightly bitter hoppy taste. Seemed to be on the high side of appropriate carbonation for me. Overall not terrible, would grab it from a cooler at a barbeque, wouldn't grab it off of a store shelf.

A: crystal clear; bronze colored; 1 finger off white head that receded to a thin collar; very nice lacing;
S: graham cracker and brown sugar;
T: sweet malt up front that becomes caramel-like by mid-palate; very light bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: OK, but not worth chasing;

Pours hazy, tan in color, with minimal head. Taste is toasted malt, meadow, grain, and slight earthy hops. Medium bodied and mostly sweet. Tasty, sessionable, but I prefer others in the style. Nothing to rush out to get but nothing I would pass over either.

Pours peachy-burgundy with a medium-thin, uninspired white head. Dissipates quickly and doesn't leave behind much lacing. Bit of caramel and toffee in the aroma. Taste is sweet, with a blend of caramel, and toffee with malt notes. Mouth feel is medium-thick, with a good feel overall. Overall, a pretty good beer.
Served in a 12oz snifter.
