i was suprised to see sam's on here, but here it is! sam's is my go to place to get six packs of things i want when i don't want to buy a full case of them. sam's is a tiny hole in the wall place that you'd most likely drive right past, it also doesn't help that it's located in a bordering on sketchy part of town. being a female myself, i have to agree with roan22 about being stared at my the customers at sam's. so i get my sixers and bolt haha.
all of the beer is behind the counter, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. sam's selection has definately gotten better, now they carry a variety of sierra nevada brews, victory, yards, red stripe, in addition to all of the bmc beers and tons of 40s. i've never had the food, but i hear it's not bad at all. also, in the back on the right hand side they have a slushee machine that dispenses kicked up grain alcohol slushees, which i've gotta say are pretty tasty.
the prices aren't too bad either, for the sixers i normally get (sn torpedo and red stripe) i pay around ten for the torpedo, maybe a dollar or so less for the red stripe.
overall sam's is a good place to stop and grab beer, and their open pretty late.

Yes this tiny place is on BA now, wow! When I lived in WC, and even before I moved there, this place was within walking distance of my ex's house, and I spent a lot of money buying sixpacks here. It was so convenient because it was down the street, and they were open late.
The atmosphere, if you a girl...most likely you will be stared at by customers hanging out there. You ARE allowed actually to sit in here, drink a beer, and eat "pizza," but I always bought six packs and ran. West Chester borough at this end is kind of ghetto!
The employees of SPI are awesome. They knew me as the lady coming in and always buying the hoppiest beer they sold. When I first went in there they had no craft beers, only swill and 40's. One day they had SNPA, and Sam Adams Boston Lager. Finally Yards, Victory, and the Sierra Nevada rep for Chester County went in there and magically there were IPAs for sale at Sam's. They had Storm King plus other seasonal Victory beers besides Hopdevil and Prima Pils.
One of the guys who works there has been to The Whip craft beer bar and definitely knows about craft beer.
The point here is, Never overlook your corner neighborhood pizza shops and delis who sell beer. If you ask enough, eventually you'll be able to buy the beers you want. Cheers Sam's!!!
