I've been here a number of times over the last two years. It's the best beer bar in Lynchburg and the immediate region for craft brews. There are quite a few rotating taps, many using sixtels, so the turnover is good. They know how to take care of their lines. The choice of brews aren't just regional; there are plenty of national craft brews; for example, I recently had a Ballast Point Sculpin on-tap.
The pizza is thin-crust and crisp with a nice variety of unusual toppings. I particularly like the mushroom pie with shiitake, cremini, oyster & button mushrooms with goat cheese & arugula. When I'm feeling a little wild, I get them to add some grilled tofu. Tuesday is taco night featuring 3 unusually flavored tacos for $7. I've had duck confit tacos here!
It took me a couple minutes to find this place the first time since it isn't actually on Rivermont Street. You just go 1/2 block down Norfolk Avenue by Randolph College and the entrance is right there. I find it easier to park on Rivermont and walk down unless I'm getting a haul from Ned's Bottle Shop, which is deep inside Rivermont Pizza and beyond the dining and bar room. Great little bottle shop though with a knowledgeable staff.
There is often music on weekend nights. Great place.

Great brew place by Lynchburg standards. So far the best tap head selection in the city. The pies are made with fresh ingredients and are quite good. The menu has a roasted vegetable appetizer thats quite different and tasty. There are two levels- one with a more group dining area and the lower level has a decent bar feel with a few booths to back it up. A few want- to- be Rastafarianism followers have a prescence but overall it feels like a good college hide out with a few locals and good beer.
